the level of safety stock in inv. mgmt. depends on all of the following, EXCEPT the:

    a. cost to reorder stock

    b. level of uncertainty of the sales forecast

    c. level of uncertainty in lead-time for stock shipments

    d. level of customer dissatisfaction for back orders

    Correct answer a

shouldn't it be all of the above. I understand b and c and MAYBE d. But I think a is just as important. If it cost a lot to reorder mgmt. would keep a larger stock of inv. on hand so it doesn't order as frequently. Maybe that is only taken into consideration when it comes to reorder point.

My exam is tomorrow, I've averaging 70% with still 400+ questions unseen. My stomach even hurts.

    FAR - 50, 78
    BEC - 67, 72, 75
    AUD - 72, 80
    REG - 70, 85

I want to say that that's correct. I think when the company runs out, they'll have to reorder anyway and not really care about what it costs to get the inventory since they're losing money without any. With that in mind, the other 3 are more important than the cost to reorder. I hope I said that right…I hated this question too as I thought the same.

Thanks @mrgriff! That puts me at ease.

@cpa8488 I think the reordering cost has more to do with the economic order quanitity (EOQ), which seeks to find the optimal order size by trying to minimize both the carrying cost of inv & ordering cost. This is more focused on balancing cost.

When I hear safety stock, it makes me think of the reorder point equation [Reorder pt = Safety Stk + (Lead time x Sales during Lead time)], which focuses more on the inv level at which the company should reorder inv in order to avoid stockouts. In other words, this focuses more on units of inventory rather than on costs. Also, you can see that the other answer choices are related to this equation.

I've worked every mcq in Ninja. Overall trending score is 78% 🙁 ……so much to cover before tomorrow.

How would you calculate EOQ on a basic calculator that doesn't give you the proper symbol? (I know this is probably a silly question and I should go ask my brother in the 5th grade).

You're not alone, I don't quite remember either, haha. I have noticed the square root function on the exams calculator so you should be okay there.

    Hi All,

I am looking for some words of wisdom and advice as far as useful studying materials based on my current level of progress. I have taken BEC twice so far. First in Nov with a 63- definitely felt unsure about it when I finished the exam. I recently took it again in early Feb and scored a 69 and thought I have a solid chance of passing. I seem to be “comparable” in corporate governance, finance and the writing sections. I have been using Becker only to review for this but I feel that at this point I need to see different questions. After taking my most recent exam, I know that the becker questions are not enough to pass. I have been doing a lot of research in trying to find a solid test bank but I am just very unsure of what to choose. Does anyone have any recommendations? (Especially, for a part-time employee).

I need all the help I can get. I hope to take the exam as soon as possible in April. Thank you!!

Sgf This will be my third attempt at BEC. My becker expired, and I purchased the NInja 10-point combo so I have been using the Ninja MCQ's exclusively this time around. I'll let you know how my score turns out, but I would highly recommend it at this point. I passed REG when I still had my Becker, but I really only used the Ninja MCQ's for my review period because I found them more helpful than the Becker ones. The explanations are way better, in my opinion. I don't think you'll regret it if you supplement with Ninja MCQ's.

    REG - Passed
    BEC - Passed
    AUD - Passed
FAR - Passed!!!! I have my life back.

@sgf7991 there are people who posted in BEC exam experience saying Becker prepared them well. What is your average or trending scores? Do you know your weak areas? If you really want a new set of MCQs I heard Ninja is a good one too. Also, be active in forum like this, sharing ideas with others help reinforce your knowledge about various topics. There is also BEC study group in Facebook if you're interested.

    @ SomedayCPA2015,

Yes, please let me know how it goes!

I really want to get the Ninja MCQs being that it is such a great deal and they give 1300+ questions, I just wan't sure if they were comparable to the exam or not. I also thought a lot of the Becker's explanations were difficult to understand, so knowing that Ninja's are better is a definite plus. I think I am going to go for it! Thanks a lot and best of luck of course!! It's so nice to know that there are others in the same boat!

Were you comparable in all mcq topics? Who ever got a 75 was probably stronger in one or more topics and that's what put them over the edge vs you.

@yes. Do i have to be stronger in all topics to make it to 75? So it means the scores were curved?

    AUD - 79 (expired) retaking July 28,2016
    FAR - 76 expiring July 31, 2016
    BEC - 85
