Yeah, that does seem strange since all you'd do is net the 5000 income against 80,000 expenses which still leaves you at a $5000 loss. I think this problem might be incorrect..

    Thank you @mtwst113! I kept repeating to myself that -10 + 5 = -5, not 5; I'm glad you're seeing the same thing.

@Jeff – you should check this out! It's in the Strategic Planning part of your book, page 31. Please let me know if we're wrong!!

    Exam:I'm done 🙂 🙂 🙂

@angel yeah that's why I still haven't paid for it. When I applied for REG I got my NTS within 24 hours, so I assumed it'd be the same for BEC. But yeah, I'm in no rush to schedule BEC right this second 🙂

    Why can't NASBA IP the difference between a 74 and a 75??????

I guess I belong here … ANOTHER 71 AGAIN!!!!! I don't know what to do to get through BEC. It is the one exam that is holding me back. Time to get serious and start studying again. Exam late January 2015. Good luck everyone! Look forward to helping each other through this process.

Has anyone else gone through b3 in the Becker material and noticed that they added two pages whole pages of formulas ( in addition to the ones in the back of the chapter) on the DuPont Model for ROE. I think learning this is completely ridiculous considering its and extra 5-6 formulas that becker does not even have any homework questions on it and was just recently added to the material in the November update. Does anyone think we should focus on this? I feel like B3 is hard enough without adding in extraneous material

Took BEC a few weeks ago and find out next week if I passed. Feeling as if I didn't, therefore, I'm going to start using Gleim (instead of Becker) to begin studying for BEC again. If by any means, the big guy upstairs wants me to pass, I'll drop studying for BEC once I find out I passed and begin REG. Until then, back to the drawing board. 🙂 Good luck everyone!

    AUD: DONE
    FAR: DONE
    BEC: DONE
    REG: DONE

I'm also looking at taking this section at the end of January. I sat for REG on the 22nd. I don't feel like I passed (I will tack it on after I sit for all four parts again) and keep right on trucking. I took a break when I got pregnant, now I'm hell bent on passing this thing! I have the 2012 BEC Wiley Materials and the 2014 focus notes; anyone think that I should invest in the 2015 book?

@OneGiantWarrior – I don't think they've been released yet 🙁 NASBA is so silly. They probably won't decide until Jan 2.
