OR_CPAMember@OnMyWay732, I am in the same boat. I sat this past Sunday, and all I can do at this point is hash out those few questions burned in my memory. Then, you add the layer of 12 questions deemed pretest, and that's a rabbit hole hard to come out of. 2/24 couldn't come sooner.

OnMyWay732Participant@OR_CPA…yea I think what happens is the ones we knew we just answered and didn't give another thought. The only ones we truly remember are the ones we were stuck on. Besides that, I'm afraid I went through the WC too fast, but I couldn't imagine doing them any longer than I did.
AUD - July 2014 - 76
REG - August 2014 - 82
FAR - November 2014 - 78

Used Becker online. Who needs a text when you can burn your eyes out staring at the screen for months on end?
"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you're hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!"

AnonymousInactiveB1, B2 and B3 take awhile to get through. It's mostly calculations and formulas so you need to grind through it all. And then these are the chapters you are most likely to be coming back to when you review.
B4, B5 and B6 are primarily conceptual. Once you get the concepts, it goes pretty fast. You'll still need to review it (especially since word on the street is that IT / AIS is a big part of people's exams) but the review goes a lot faster. You either get it or you don't generally speaking.

CPA2B_NJMemberI read B1, B2, and B3. Last night I started on the MCQ's for those 3 chapters, and it took me a long time to get through just a few questions. I'm assuming it will take me an intense full week to drill through most problems.
For some reason, maybe because it's the 3rd time I'm retaking the exam, once I'm confortable with those 3 chapters then I'll know to be well prepared for the exam.

lvcpahopefulMemberBeginning to start my BEC studying for 2/28/15. Passed with an 82, but that expired. Does the following seem like a reasonable strategy to pass in 3 weeks:
Reread 2013 Becker chapter/write down notes 1-2 hours daily after work to put me to sleep.
Read 3 chapters each Saturday/Sunday
Perform Ninja MCQ questions for 2 hours every morning and 5-6 hours per Saturday/Sunday
Listen to 6 hours Roger BEC Audio on cycle at work for next three weeks
BEC: 86
FAR: 77
REG: 82
AUD: 84

I am studying for BEC in three weeks as well. Here's my strategy:
Watch all lectures this week.
Then hammer out multiple choice two weeks after that.
Final review with ninja notes week of and multiple choice.
Mon – thurs Study 1 hour at lunch, 1.5 hours after work. 1 hour after workout. Friday 4 hours study. Saturday/ Sunday 5-6 hours
Listen to Ninja notes audio at work for next three weeks
Hopefully I can get through this.

AnonymousInactivetaking my exam 2/28.. my strategy is 2 chapters a week and one week for review. It's going to be close considering b1-b3 are going to take forever. But I'm going to try to stick to my schedule as much as possible. 55 more questions remaining in B1 then I will move on 🙂

AnonymousInactiveJust a quick head's up for those of you coming in to BEC now:
Many people, mistakenly, think that BEC is the “easy” test. Get that thought out of your head right now. While it does have the highest passing rate, those rates are still only in the 50 to 60% range. Don't underestimate BEC and make sure you give yourself time to really understand the material and concepts.
If you have a strong Finance, Cost Accounting, and/or IT background, you'll have an advantage. But you still need to treat this as any other CPA exam and make sure you are comfortable with the material.
Just my advice.

AnonymousInactiveI used Becker to build a foundation. I went through all of the lectures and 99% of the MCQ. Most of the MCQ I did twice. But the reason for 99% was because some of the “optional” finance MCQ is really out there.
After fnising Becker I bought NINJA MCQ and hit that hard. For example, when Jeff did the 500 question weekend challenge, I finished the challenge with over 600 questions answered. In between NINJA MCQ, I'd switch back to Becker to hammer home concepts that I feel weak on or that I know is tested heavily.
My study habits for BEC were very similar to FAR. In fact I spent nearly as much time reviewing BEC as I did for FAR. I kind of feel that I should have taken the exam a week or two ago but there weren't any seats at my Prometrics site.
My exam is on Friday so hopefully this works out for me. Right now I feel as ready as I'll ever be. Finance has always been my weakest area for BEC so I, hope, I spent enough time there. I'm just looking forward to having it done, one way or another, for the time being.

AnonymousInactiveEven if you have a background in those areas, what your tested on is a crapshoot. I was a financial analyst for three years and could apply very little to the actual exam. Never get too comfortable.
