I have a question that I hope you can help me with…. I purchased the Becker CD’s and installed them on my PC. I have taken and passed all but one of the exams (BEC left).. I was checking to see if my software was up to date and noticed an expiration date of November 2013.. Does this mean my software ( downloaded from my CD’s) will no longer work after November….or will it no longer be supported but I can still take practice exams and do study questions etc?

UMassCPA we have to do this! common!! if we passed FAR we can take BEC down let's just think about it that we do NOT want to go over BEC again it is the most boring one out of all of them (for me at least) I am trying to use my excitement from passing FAR and use it for studying it was hard the first few hours but I just did the finance chapter which I did so bad on it the first time around and now I increased my score to 80% so maybe my FAR excitement is helping? I do know I am so tired for not sleeping for 3 days and stressing out about scores so I am turning now to the IT section I am sure I would want to go sleep while I'll do this section lol.

Go study I am here online if you need a motivation talk (I noticed this site is a great help to take a few minute break here and there) good luck and congrats on passing FAR – yay us!!!

@mickeywanttopass thank out and congratulations to you too! I'm with you I am not a fan of BEC. Its all the leftover (seemingly useless) classes I couldn't stand in school thrown into one test.. cost, economics, IT, systems.. yuck no thank you!

It was hard getting started today I just have to remember not only how good it feels to pass, but how much I don't want to have to come back to this material and take the test again! That was my biggest fear for FAR, the thought of doing it all over made me want to cry so I pushed through. I guess that was the motivation I needed! Now if I can just focus on that again..

Hoping for a productive rest of the day now that I'm feeling more on track and then I'm looking forward to a solid night of sleep 🙂 I'm sure we could all use that.

So BEC is over…it seemed to get progressively harder (not a huge amount, but enough to wear I flagged probably 2-3 questions in the 1st testlet, 4 in the 2nd, and 6 or 7 in the 3rd. I'm hoping that's a good sign but I'm really so on the fence. I think I'm okay not having a feeling one way or another because I'm not stressing too bad.. Or maybe that's the brunch mimosas I had afterward….haha! The one thing that worries me the most is that I had one formula concept come up in all 3 testlets that I did NOT know.

Does anyone know if your multiple choices translate into the ease or difficulty of WCs? I had 2 almost too easy ones, and 1 moderate. I'm worried that my 3rd testlet knocked me down and easy WCs is a bad sign.

Is it just me or does the IT section suck….A LOT???? Bombed the MCQs in the wiley got like over 50% wrong first time around…15-19% of this stuff supposed to be in the actual exam. FML!

Ok, I think I'm confused about monetary and fiscal policies. Could someone please tell me if this is right?

Monetary policy when its expansionary will put downward pressure on interest rates.

Fiscal policy when it is expansionary will cause interest rates to increase.

Can someone tell me if that is right? Also it seems monetary in that example would increase exports, but the fiscal policy would reduce exports?
