    I have a question that I hope you can help me with…. I purchased the Becker CD’s and installed them on my PC. I have taken and passed all but one of the exams (BEC left).. I was checking to see if my software was up to date and noticed an expiration date of November 2013.. Does this mean my software ( downloaded from my CD’s) will no longer work after November….or will it no longer be supported but I can still take practice exams and do study questions etc?

    Thanks soo much for that detailed explanation @Elisabeth and @Let's do it.

    Also the comprehensive Process Costing example on pg 50-51 in Becker BEC Textbook(mine is 2012 edition). I dint understand that detailed huge example.Reminds me of an Exam Simulation.

    Is it important to understand that.I tried to understand it twice but its damn confusing.Did anyone skip that comprehensive example??

    Good Luck

    FAR- 79 -->Becker self study, Final review & Flashcards

    @nishvik Confession time: I almost always skip comprehensive examples. They never seem to help me. 😐 However, I don't have Becker, so can't speak to this one specifically. Do you feel like you understand the concepts individually, just confused when they're all together?

    @Elisabeth: yeah I feel that i understand the concept individually but when they all come at once and i have to apply them to get an answer,I get stumbled 😐

    Just completed reading Operations management.Will write imp formulas and notes first then solve Becker mcq.Coz jus reading formula and definition will not help to solve mcq.

    For now i will keep that comprehensive example away :-s

    @nishvik If you understand the concepts individually, and can apply them to the extent needed for MCQs and SIMs, then you're fine. The comprehensive examples (at least in my books – college textbooks, CPA exam books, all of it) seem to be WAY more complicated than anything you'll do academically…and if you're the CFO of a business that's doing this whole complicated thing, then you'll have time to take it slow, ask others for input, and research it! At least that's my theory and the reason that I don't sweat the comprehensive examples. Good luck trying the MCQs!

    @InfernoOmni

    Very similar if not exact situation here: making same errors (although significantly less) in early chapters mostly B2 – B3. Today decided to pull out old 2009 Bisk BEC book and do problems by hand. Must say that results are better but still nothing close to perfect. Looks like i'm going to give up on mastering 100% manufacturing OH variance calculations (E & V ones), just gonna straight guess if not able to calculate on the exam – that's my stinking strategy do deal with these suckers. Currently, I'm on chapter 3 (second round) and hoping to wrap up all soon and start really addressing WC sims.

    Keep posted of your progress, looking forward to our passing!
