I have a question that I hope you can help me with…. I purchased the Becker CD’s and installed them on my PC. I have taken and passed all but one of the exams (BEC left).. I was checking to see if my software was up to date and noticed an expiration date of November 2013.. Does this mean my software ( downloaded from my CD’s) will no longer work after November….or will it no longer be supported but I can still take practice exams and do study questions etc?

One more power weekend until I take this thing and I'm starting to get nervous. Scoring around 80 on the progress tests in Becker, getting the Wiley test bank as a boost to see different questions but hoping this is my last section ever.

Does anyone feel like it's really hard to study when you're waiting on a score for another section? I would just really like to know my last exam went fine as well….

    AUD - 87 4/9/13
    FAR - 85 5/17/13
    REG - 75 7/1/13
    BEC - 82 7/29/13

Now just waiting on experience starting in January

    @Spartanhockey

LOL yeah. It had me laughing quite a few times. Sounds exactly like the guy who does the IT lecture.

Hey Future GA CPA! We're taking BEC on the same day…but, uh, about 3000 miles away from each other (if GA stands for Georgia, correctly assuming).

I'm so ready for BEC to be over.

    BEC (July 2013)
    FAR (OCT 2013)
    REG (NOV 2013)
    AUD (JAN 2014)

The CPA Exam is an opponent that not even the Fellowship of the Ring would want to come across.

    I have a long...long...journey ahead of me.

Actually even further away! I'm sitting in Florida for my exams while I finish up grad school but moving to Atlanta for work so I figured it would be best to have a Georgia license!

I'm so ready for it to be over too! It's been a haul. Just got the Wiley free trial to get a different perspective on these problems– so worth it so far.

    Good luck!!!

    AUD - 87 4/9/13

    REG - 75 7/1/13

B4 explanations, lol. Might as well say, “This answer is COMPLETELY WRONG and you're an idiot if you chose this one.”

Just finished IT HW. Breath of fresh air compared to B2, B3. Going to finish these flashcards, do a progress exam, and then jump into B5.

    FAR: 50, 76!
REG: 74... (ouch baby, very ouch), 76!
    AUD: 65, 91!?
    BEC: 80! Aaaand doneskies!

    May 2012 to August 2013. Can't believe it's over.

Did anyone completely bomb the second final exam? The first one was relatively easy, but the second one was awful.

    Or is it just me?

Just took a practice test in Wiley with 72 MCQs and 3 WCs. It didn't give any credit for the WCs….Is that normal or not or could I have done something wrong? Also, for those of you using Becker, did you notice that the WC answer keys were obscenely long? I thought the answers were supposed to be pretty short and sweet and to the point

    AUD - 87 4/9/13
    FAR - 85 5/17/13
    REG - 75 7/1/13
    BEC - 82 7/29/13

I just came across this question in IT and I'm trying to laugh it off but man, I'm annoyed.

Which of the following statements is/are correct?

    a.

Phishing is the sending of phony emails to try to convince people to divulge information.

    b.

A virus is a piece of computer program that inserts itself into some other program. Virus protection software can be utilized to protect against viruses. One of the benefits of such software is that it can be installed and forgotten, allowing security personnel to devote their attention to other areas.

    c.

Choices “b” and “c” are correct.

    d.

A denial-of-service attack is an attack in which one computer bombards another computer with a flood of information.

    Explanation

Choice “c” is correct, which means that both “d” and “a” are incorrect.

LOL. CHOICE C DOESN'T EVEN SAY “D” AND “A” ARE CORRECT. The question asks for which choices are correct; B & C are both incorrect!

    @ Future GA CPA

Yeah you're suppose to self-correct the WC. And I think as long as you bring your point across, it doesn't matter if it isn't an essay. They just want to see if you know the topic and if you can present it well.

I took the first practice exam and got 87, 75, 87 on Becker and a 66% on Wiley.

…I don't know what I should think. It worries me.

I'm going to take the second practice exam tomorrow so I get into the “feel” of the testing environment.

Good luck to you too Future GA CPA! This is your last exam; I hope you get certified! 🙂

    @Accountaholic

Another person taking BEC on 7/29!

Let's all hope for the best. I'm completely spazzing out.

    BEC (July 2013)
    FAR (OCT 2013)
    REG (NOV 2013)
    AUD (JAN 2014)
