I have a question that I hope you can help me with…. I purchased the Becker CD’s and installed them on my PC. I have taken and passed all but one of the exams (BEC left).. I was checking to see if my software was up to date and noticed an expiration date of November 2013.. Does this mean my software ( downloaded from my CD’s) will no longer work after November….or will it no longer be supported but I can still take practice exams and do study questions etc?

    @Jennifer241

    Topics per Becker:

B-1: Corporate gov., Operations management, Cost measurements

B-2: Forecasting & projections, Budgeting & analysis including variance analysis

B-3: Financial modeling & projections (NPV, IRR, RI, EVA, etc), Capital management (leverages, cost of capital)

    B-4: IT

    B-5: Econ & strategic management

B-6: Process & project management (strategic issues), globalization, financial risk management, valuations, internal audit

I'm on B-5 right now. So far the easiest were B-4, B-3 and looks like B-5 is also not much of the issue just learn not to associate shifts with anything related to price levels (treat independently). B-1 was plain boring.

Becker Class of Jan - Aug 2013: FARB DONE!!!!
    CPA license pending 🙂

I'm trying to make my way through B2 and feel like I need an Algebra tutor! Please someone tells me the rest of the chapters are an upswing from here? Seriously, I always loved math but this is ridiculous

    AUD 99 (4/18/13)
    REG 93 (7/5/13)
    BEC 92 (8/12/13)

@MCLKT Thanks for a wonderful foreign curr. explanation which has always been tricky for me as well! 🙂

@smyoung The link that @C32 posted on PURE DADS is exactly what I was referring to. Sorry! I forget not everyone uses same study materials 🙂

    BEC: 73, 81
    AUD: 85
    FAR: 71, 77
    REG: 74, 75...finally DONE! 😀

*This is my 2nd attempt at the CPA exam. For all of you who have failed this exam many times, given up on it, or taken a break like me, remember that it is still possible to finish what you started...failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently 🙂

I also have been feeling like I need an Algebra refresher! I worked with PURE DADS quite a bit yesterday and started getting some problems correct but sometimes I still choose the wrong numbers to plug in for my “difference” if that makes sense. I took today off of variances and worked on reviewing other chapters and am going to go back to variances tomorrow. I will post some more specific questions I have tomorrow. Thanks for offering your help! 🙂

Studying with Becker and I'm pretty sure it says the ‘content of the essays is not graded, mainly the formatting' is this accurate? I feel like if I gave an incorrect answer but had great formatting I would still lose points.

I do not agree with that at all…I believe content is very much in play.

If they ask you about Price Elasticity of Demand, but you write about Honey Boo-Boo in perfect format … I don't think you're going to get your points.
