I have a question that I hope you can help me with…. I purchased the Becker CD’s and installed them on my PC. I have taken and passed all but one of the exams (BEC left).. I was checking to see if my software was up to date and noticed an expiration date of November 2013.. Does this mean my software ( downloaded from my CD’s) will no longer work after November….or will it no longer be supported but I can still take practice exams and do study questions etc?

@ DJN: “Dutkas, I have plenty of *confidence*, I just keep getting the wrong answer. Too bad this isn't like real life where even the wrong answer delivered with confidence often gets you where you need to go.”

That's what the writing sections are for!

Just curious how many weeks the general consensus is to get through the BEC material? I'm taking Regulation on Friday 7/5 and hoping to squeeze BEC in by mid August. I'm studying full-time, although home with my 3 children. It will hopefully be my last exam…

    FAR 92 (2/27/13)
    AUD 99 (4/18/13)
    REG 93 (7/5/13)
    BEC 92 (8/12/13)

mmp3: I was studying full time, without 3 kids… but I took FAR on 5/3 and took BEC on 5/22 so I spent about 2.5 weeks studying for it on top of my college finals. It is way do'able. BEC is tricky but my plan of attack for the exam was just go hard for 3-4 weeks with no life than test while the material was fresh. I am not a fan of stretching it out, as that doesn't work for my studying style.

Thanks bcjasper09, that sounds very encouraging. I took FAR and Audit also going through my last semester of graduate school and trying to juggle the kids' homework and activities etc… So I am really looking forward to banging these last two exams out.

After I realized I had gotten the variances from B2 down I decided to not finsih the HW questions for B2 and jump straight into B3….what was I thinking not focusing on the chapters with more test weight?!! Can someone that has taken the test recently PLEASE confirm for me this is the order of priority I should be studying in (l barely passed BEC back in 2010)…just going off what % weight is for each topic and I am using Becker…July 16th is way too close :/

    1 – B3 – Fin Mgmt

    2- B1 – Corp. Governance

    3- B5 – Economics

    4 – B4 – IT

    5 – B6 – Operations Mgmt

    6- B2 – Strategic Planning

    BEC: 73, 81
    AUD: 85
    FAR: 71, 77
    REG: 74, 75...finally DONE! 😀

*This is my 2nd attempt at the CPA exam. For all of you who have failed this exam many times, given up on it, or taken a break like me, remember that it is still possible to finish what you started...failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently 🙂
