I have a question that I hope you can help me with…. I purchased the Becker CD’s and installed them on my PC. I have taken and passed all but one of the exams (BEC left).. I was checking to see if my software was up to date and noticed an expiration date of November 2013.. Does this mean my software ( downloaded from my CD’s) will no longer work after November….or will it no longer be supported but I can still take practice exams and do study questions etc?

I have not received my ATT yet from Oregon and I sent in my application 2 weeks ago! So I am going to have to push out my test a week or two. I have gotten all the way through the material and feel good about it. Getting 75% on my second time through the material, then getting 85-90% on tests after that so feeling alright, but this waiting for my ATT is really messing with my study schedule, since I don't have a for sure date my studying has been a little off lately. : /

    AUD - Jan 9,13 Pass
    REG - Aug 30,13 Pass
    BEC - Oct 26,13 Pass
    FAR - Dec 4,13 Pass

@ Jennifer241- Call the OR Board of Accountancy- mine got held up once and I talked to Kim, had my email that same afternoon. I am testing for BEC on the 27th, and using Becker, starting my unit 6 lectures today then beginning the MCqs, very nervous about equations!!! How do you keep them straight?

@ Kusum- I have always found Pro Metric to be great, it is nerve racking your first time through I think just because you don't know what to expect, but really they are just going above and beyond making sure you are you. They have always been pretty nice, quick, etc. Don't worry 🙂

    AUD: 74, 74 AGAIN!!!!, Retest Aug 2013
    REG: 75
    BEC: 69/ Retest....TBD
    FAR: TBD

I emailed Kim this morning, she said that she is no longer processing applications and that Kristen is now the examination Coordinator. She forwarded my email to her (even though I had already included Kristen in my initial email) but I haven't hear anything back. Hoping to hear something today, will see.

Re: equations, I write down the equations, as an example, and I review the equations daily. When you look at it enough times, you will memorize it.

Got my NTS and set the date…August 30th….Now time to get serious!!! 🙂 Not that I wasn't before…although tonight is going to be a wash for me….We had to put our cat down tonight. It is the first time my kids have experienced any kind of death or loss so they took it hard…. So I feel drained. Since I get Thursday off, I am going to let tonight be done and give it some extra time on Thursday. I have a written down schedule and right now I am only off by a tad bit so as long as I catch up by weekend I will be feeling good.

Is Becker study material enough for the BEC CPA exam?

I read too many comments about people who pointed out that they saw too many questions that weren't covered in Becker

    Please advice 🙂

    N. Alex – having just taken the BEC exam a few hours ago this is all very fresh for me, LOL. I did the Becker review course and also did the Wiley test bank. On the real exam I had a lot of questions I didn't see in either one. I think the important thing for this particular exam is knowing how to think about the actual concepts. That being said, I did see one question that was so incredibly random in the Wiley test bank that I remember thinking–wow, I HOPE they ask me that…and they DID! (Off set of course by all the other questions I had never even seen the remotest kin to before.. )
