I have a question that I hope you can help me with…. I purchased the Becker CD’s and installed them on my PC. I have taken and passed all but one of the exams (BEC left).. I was checking to see if my software was up to date and noticed an expiration date of November 2013.. Does this mean my software ( downloaded from my CD’s) will no longer work after November….or will it no longer be supported but I can still take practice exams and do study questions etc?

Becker Final Exam #2 (Much Harder than #1 in my opinion)

    Test 1 – 71

    Test 2 – 87

    Test 3 – 71

    Overall – 76

Finished MCQs with about 1 hr left which should be enough for WCs hopefully. Not bad, but man this was a tough test, haha. I pray that the actual is not that bad. Here we go!

    @ Peter BROlinto

I would say focus 80% of your time on knowing IT, Corp Governance, Econ. After than focus the rest of your time on memorizing all of the formulas. If you get enough MCQs you can probably steal a victory.

I have made flashcards for definitions in the past, but they don't work for me. I write up my “Cheat Sheet” notes and put the word with an example with it.

I also have a dry erase board where I write down a lot of the examples of things like variances and examples of the different cost examples. I then take a picture of it on my phone and can review it whenever I want. I also wrote out every single formula that is in BEC and taped it to my wall, every single day I look at it. Eventually those formula's are starting to stick.

    AUD - Jan 9,13 Pass
    REG - Aug 30,13 Pass
    BEC - Oct 26,13 Pass
    FAR - Dec 4,13 Pass

Hi everyone…new on this site but needing lots of motivation as I re-start my CPA journey…taking BEC July 16th and about to start the daunting task of completing the last 132 questions in B2. I really need to pick up the pace in the next 2 weeks…don't know how I will do it other than committing myself to at least 4 hours a night during the week and studying all day in the weekends until then…4th of July planning on studying all day as well!

    BEC: 73, 81
    AUD: 85
    FAR: 71, 77
    REG: 74, 75...finally DONE! 😀

*This is my 2nd attempt at the CPA exam. For all of you who have failed this exam many times, given up on it, or taken a break like me, remember that it is still possible to finish what you started...failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently 🙂

B1 & B4 have got to be the most boring topics ever. I feel like no matter how much I study them, I'm not retaining much because it's all so dull.

Any tips on what can make the info stick?

    BEC (July 2013)
    FAR (OCT 2013)
    REG (NOV 2013)
    AUD (JAN 2014)

The CPA Exam is an opponent that not even the Fellowship of the Ring would want to come across.

    I have a long...long...journey ahead of me.

I have officially given up on variances. Of course I'm sure that means 99% of my test will be on exactly that topic, but I declare myself DONE with them.

Haha! DJN, I hear you on that one. For O/H variances, I just want to throw up. I get it, but then I am fed the info in a different way and instantly regress and lose any confidence I have with the material.

Dutkas, I have plenty of *confidence*, I just keep getting the wrong answer. Too bad this isn't like real life where even the wrong answer delivered with confidence often gets you where you need to go.
