I have a question that I hope you can help me with…. I purchased the Becker CD’s and installed them on my PC. I have taken and passed all but one of the exams (BEC left).. I was checking to see if my software was up to date and noticed an expiration date of November 2013.. Does this mean my software ( downloaded from my CD’s) will no longer work after November….or will it no longer be supported but I can still take practice exams and do study questions etc?

Hi Everyone,

Just starting BEC, Any suggestions on the strategy to follow.

I have old Yaeger 2011 videos, wiley 2011 books, 2011 MCQ CD.

Any suggestions for updations and how should I plan my studies.

( Bought the material long back but due to travels and job, could not touch upon the material, BTW I am from India would be appearing for the exams once all four parts are ready.)

So any suggestions would be welcome from the experienced friends.

English isn't my first language and the written communication will be tough for me. is there any material, other than Becker review, that helps with this part?

BEC #5 not yet scheduled. My last attempt in last window…74 🙁 going for end of July, the 5th time's a charm. Moving on to auditing after that.

Pradeep – I am also using Yaeger 2011, My suggestion is don't bother buying and going through all of the updates. purchase the new wiley text, and follow along with that by your side as you work your way through the 2011 videos.

I have all of the updates and wish I had just skipped them and referred to the book for the updated material.

Most of it is found in the Corporate Gov. Chapter, so read that in it's entirety. Compare it to the 2011 version so you can see what has been added. There are also updates in IT for COBIT, rules for the JOBS act and Emerging Growth Company SOX section 404b.

If you want any updates go for the BEC 2013 update. It won't have the 2012 stuff but it will include the 2013 stuff you need to know. And… mention to the Yaeger team you are using 2011 and see what they suggest.
