    I have a question that I hope you can help me with…. I purchased the Becker CD’s and installed them on my PC. I have taken and passed all but one of the exams (BEC left).. I was checking to see if my software was up to date and noticed an expiration date of November 2013.. Does this mean my software ( downloaded from my CD’s) will no longer work after November….or will it no longer be supported but I can still take practice exams and do study questions etc?

    Hello everyone. I'm going to start studying BEC in a few days and test towards the end of the window. I'm doing a Becker online class thru my college. It actually ends the 1st week of Sept which is silly so I plan to work ahead.

    I was excited to get my REG score today. One part down, three to go. I'm from Louisville, KY and work in public accounting.

    I need to get some index cards today so I can start memorizing all of these formulas.

    I am trying to get through my lectures on cost/managerial accounting by Wednesday.

    For anyone that may be confused about the balance score card or need further help with it, I found this video to be extremely helpful and expanding on the idea. I am convinced that one of my WC's will ask me about a balance score card so I decided to expand on it a bit, haha.

    @dutkas,

    Thanks for posting vid.

    How is everyone progressing? I got half of ch 1 done. Such a boring stuff. Basically, repeat of topics mentioned already in REG and AUD.

    @ Seattle

    Haha, yes chapter 1 is all about the theory. The COSO framework at its finest.

    Towards the end it breaks it up and starts getting into the cost accounting goodness. Personally everything about BEC is not too hard to grasp with the exception of MOH variance analysis. There are numerous holes in my wall over here because I keep bashing it with my head trying to make sense of the topic.

    Other then that I am prepping to take this exam in the beginning of the July window. Just waiting on the slug-like NTS process to complete for Virginia.

    How's it going with you?

    Hey guys,

    I'm back to studying BEC after getting a 70. I wasn't really surprised that I didn't pass considering I really only studied for about 10 days. I was burned out after cramming REG and took a few days off after that before I started studying BEC and now i'm mad at myself for not forcing myself to study. I think one or two more days and I probably would've had it. Lesson learned…..

    @dutkas,

    What chapter are you on? What is your study plan? Using Becker or others?

    My plan is to spend about 1 week per chapter initially and then, review each chapter for a second time + additional resources i manage to find. Around the end of July i should be ready but decided to just make sure and scheduled exam on Aug 10th. Want to be done once and for all with this exam. The goal is to pass on the first attempt by doing all i can now. Hopefully, my REG test results post soon as I've been frustrated each time upon logging in online review and seeing REG lectures. BEC needs my UNDIVIDED attention now 😉

    I didn't realize how much IT and Project Management is in this section. Finally a section that relates to what I do for a living!

    And I'm loving the AUD and FAR overlap.

    However Managerial and Cost accounting bites.
