I just want to vent out here. I took my first BEC exam today and I walked out of prometric really upset. Where did they get those questions from??!!! I’m so upset. First testlet was medium, 2nd testlet was really hard and 3rd testlet was easy. I know I did horrible on this test.I flagged more than half the questions on the 2nd testlet. For WC, I just made stuff up.

I just feel like it’s not fair how hard those questions were. I know I did my best. I studied hard….Now I have to come up with a plan to regroup and restudy for this test again.

@DHO – I like to take exams one section at time so I know I passed or failed; and either re-study or move onto the next, I did that until I finally passed AUD and that was my first test passed. Now that I have a time line to finish I'm working on only BEC, but I'm on my 3rd attempt. So My plan is to take 2 this next testing window, but I'll take BEC on April 1st and REG on May 30th or 31st. I'm doing that because I feel I should've already passed BEC and I need to keep moving forward. Another reason is because I can't take BEC in the same testing window and if I take it at the begining of the testing I have enough time to study for REG. We'll see how that goes. Sorry if I'm rambling, hope that makes sense.

    AUD - Passed - 82 (10/1/13), Expires 4/1/2015 (57,62,64)
    BEC - Passed - 77 (7/14/14) (53,67,70,74) Half way to CPA!!!!
    REG - Passed - 81 (8/23/14) (68) 3 down 1 to go!!
    FAR - Passed - 75 (11/11/14) I'm DONE!!!!!

Waiting for score for BEC taken 2/24/14. I set myself up for failure by taking a break before writing component. My advice is NEVER TAKE A BREAK. You never know what will happen outside the test room. Triple sad face. Fingers crossed. This was my first attempt at any of them, so lesson learned the hard way, unfortunately.

I'm thinking of retaking this test if I fail. My memory seems to get more dull. I think I'll forget most of the material if I don't retake it right away. Just hoping I get my score without delay. I feel a lot better knowing I'm not the only one feeling like I did my best and find the test too hard.

I took mine on Monday and let me tell ya… It was BRUTAL! Really tricky questions with lots of computations. I think I used 4 dry erase boards. I walked out of the testing center trying not to cry, and when I got home I binged on beer and food until I passed out. Not a good day.

AUD 1/18/2014 PASSED (Half way done!!)
    REG 5/30/2014
BEC 2/24/2014 PASSED (I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!)
    FAR 12/1/2013 PASSED

I'm another “OMG WTF was that test about, I have to seriously think about a re-take again” member! So defeated. So much of the stuff I studied for wasn't asked and the stuff that was there was tricky, wordy, or both. Fingers crossed on this first time experience. I gotta move on to another section though… Will be on pins and needles until the end of next weekend.

This was my first ever exam so at worst, at least I learned what the testing environment is like for the next round.
