I deliberately didn’t solve one question of variance and marginal cost accounting in first teslets. Next testlet was full of cost accounting which is my strong area and I had field day.In third testlet there were hardly 2 questions on cost accounting.I didn’t solve budget and PV calculation question in 2nd testlet and third teslet was full of budgets and PV which were basically algebra.I am not sure if my tricks worked or it was coincidence. I believe based on previous 2 attempts they try to punch in your weak areas.
    I passed with 80.

@Norseman , I am not sure if the trick worked. In first testlet 2 NFP and 1 Govt question were there.I skipped Govt and 1 NFP.2nd Testlet were full of NFP and Govt. Most were calculations and some were one liner.I solved all questions except one on liabilities. One govt SIM was there which I guessed everyone has got regardless.
In third testlet no Govt or NFP questions were there ,as expected.I solved 86 questions right and skipped 3 questions. One question I selected wrong on pension ( not deliberately ) in 3rd testlet. So MCQ was good but I was left with 45 minutes for SIM and I solved just one SIM ( you can guess Govt ) and wasted 20 minutes on research questions. In last 12 minutes I was trying to solve SIM like headless chicken ,so just one SIM and that too 2 line items I missed.I just can't tell you how devastated I feel due to SIM.
I am expecting max 64 hence already started studying FAR ,rather trying to improve my timings.I have failed many times but with near to 70 hence used to be awake on score release night, this will be first time I will be sleeping.Feeling low.

I am sure about Govt and NFP hence I will skip again for sure.I will solve pension and IFRS in first testlet by giving more time.

    lol

people are so stressed out by this exam process that they are actually relying on superstition..

im sure the AICPA is very eager for you guys to be skipping as many questions as possible in order to “trick” the exam… they could always use more registration fees 😉

    AUD - 80
    BEC - 84
    FAR - 77
    REG - 79

@Ez_SIM , it's not superstition but pattern (LOL ) , not sure if worked or will work but surely it gives illusion that you are controlling the exam LOL.BTW in Q2 they have reduced the Govt and NFP percentage ( bad for me ),so I have to find my new strong area.On Ninja and Becker's I am getting 80 in average ,so far found out the Pension and IFRS as my weak area.Any tips to identify the strong area ?

@Char143 ,please note I myself said “I am not sure if the trick worked”.This idea came to my mind when first time I noted that my strong chapters are skipped in 2nd and 3rd testlet. You may read my post , I have myself mentioned not sure if that worked or pure coincidence. When they test you on 90 questions it would cover almost all topics and skipping any chapter or topic wouldn't be optimal.Someone mentioned he passed reading just 2 chapters of FAR ,I have read all chapters and as I mentioned could successfully answered more than 80 questions. You can see I am not avoiding hard work.As far as FAR is concerned I don't need tricks I consistently get more then 80 in FAR Ninja test , I just need to improve my speed in solving question and that is what I am doing for Q2.Someone in this forum suggested to read last line of question first , I am following that and can see the improvement.I am hearing Beatles now.
I've got to admit it's getting better
A little better all the time
I'm doing the best that I can

Well, now that there's only going to be two MCQ testlets, how will the adaptive nature of the test be affected?
