I have taken the BEC section twice and have scored both a 74 and a 72. I use Becker (as well as some Wiley MC?s) and do the videos, MC, and read the book and feel as if I undertsand the material going into each test. Does anyone have any helpful hints or study advice because I do not know what I am doing wrong and I would like to start passing this test in order to move on and pass the other exams. Any help is appreciated.

I am awaiting my grade for my second attempt. I may end up in the same boat as you having to retake BEC for the third time, in fact I have been anticipating having to do so.

So like you I will be looking for similar advice regarding retaking this exam.

    Good Luck to you!

Giants, did you feel what you were shown in Becker was a good representation of what you were exposed to on the test?

    FAR - 84
    AUD - 94
    REG - 86
    BEC - 86

@UCMCPA I did feel that Becker did prepare me well for the exam but clearly not well enough lol. I think Wiley was useful for some chapters as well because Wiley went a little deeper into some topics that Becker did either not cover or was very shallow on.

@Giants13…I would say it depends somewhat on the areas that were more of a struggle for you on the exam. Did you do well on the written communication section? I would go through Becker again, chapter by chapter, and take notes on the areas that they focus on more. Watching the lecture again on those areas that you found especially difficult may help also. After going through the book I would spend 1-2 weeks just reviewing my notes and working the WTB questions. That's what I did when I had to retake FAR and my score went up 11 points.

    REG - 86
    FAR - 80
    BEC - 79
    AUD - 92...I'm done woohoo!
