BEC – Has anyone left off a part of their WP and still passed?

Took BEC today early in the morning at 8am, did my 1st testlet, 2nd testlet, and then the 3rd testlet that got insanely difficult.

Got to the WP with about an hour left. Wrote out 2 of the answers adequately enough, mostly BS. Got to the 3rd one, this one wasn’t that bad so I don’t feel like its one that the AICPA will throw out, but I drew a blank on it. With 15 minutes left, started BSing and just threw down some simple elementary stuff. Was in the midst of writing my conclusion, but it cut me off just as I started writing it so my conclusion is half a sentence.

… damn it. I feel like that lack of a full conclusion is going to get me. Also, all 3 of my WP answers were complete gibberish, I just threw something down so they’d give me some points. Has anyone done this same approach and somehow passed? I really hope to god I pass, I’m so tired of this BS and having to take the new exam.

was your BEC heavy on IT and ECON? what subjects were your WC on? I have taken BEC and failed with a 74. The WC were on topics unrelated to BEC. one of WC tested me on tax concept.

people who put a decent effort in should get a 75. Let the ones who dedicated 600 hours ( I have came accross a few on this website) to ONE part get the 90+ scores. AICPA has ZERO transparency. They should mail test back to the test taker after the score is released- pass or fail to show some transparency.

I've put off BEC because of this. People said “do it first, it's easiest, get it out of the way” but I took one look at the book and shelved it.

That's right about the AICPA being absolutely useless as far as the scoring of these tests. Part of their charm, I guess. If you got less than 75, to them it means
“You sucked enough on everything that we couldn't pass you.” If you got 75 or higher, it means “We're good with your knowledge.”

I am in the similar situation. I took BEC on Sunday. My first testlet was medium, second testlet was medium and the third was hard. Wp was all BEC related, I bsed whatever I knew for 2 of them. I did not get to finish my third one. This is so frustrating.
