Took Audit today and feeling awful….

I took audit today for the third time and I am feeling pretty darn bad. I felt like so many of the multiple choice questions were tough to decide between two of the possible answers. The simulations were OK but not great. I think it might have gotten harder but I just don’t know for sure. Is it that it gets harder or just wordier…..

This is my last one to pass and if I don’t pass it this time I have to go back and retake Audit and FAR……since I am no longer in public I almost wonder if it is even worth torturing myself with anymore….

Any encouragement and advice would be appreciated….. Best of luck to everyone else on their exams.

    Hi Kate,

I know these exams are exhausting, but it's done now and out of your hands for a few weeks. So try to relax and do something nice for yourself. 🙂

Sounds like your sims weren't too bad so that is a good sign. You never know until you get that score….

You've come a long way to make it this far in the process, so don't give it up now!!

Good luck. Passing the exam extends beyond the usefulness to your specific job/career. It could come in handy down the road, but more importantly, it will be a personal achievement. Don't give up if you don't pass – I have a feeling you would regret it every time you heard the letters CPA for the rest of your life (I know I would..).

Even if you have to retake, don't think about it as starting over fresh, because you won't be – you'll have knowledge that will accelerate your success in passing. Many people here have been in the same situation, have retaken, and spend lots of time telling their stories of struggles and encourage people like us not to give up!

I'm sure the encouragement will be rolling in very soon! Stay positive!

I am in the same boat. I take AUD, my last exam, on May 28. I am playing for all the marbles! Like you, if I do not pass AUD, I will have to retake REG. I am going to assume that I will pass on May 28. I have a two week cruise planned to Maine and Canada next month. I will deal with the AUD grade when I come back from my cruise. My job is to answer questions, and the job of the AICPA is to grade those answers.

I made a 64 on my last AUD exam. I also made a 65 on my Gleim dianostic exam after I received my score from the AICPA. I just finished Lambers' AUD course a few days ago. Garland (Lambers) was worth every penny of the $300 that I paid for the course! Garland was better than Becker, Roger or Yaeger for AUD. I am now scoring between 75% and 90% on my Gleim tests. I still have many miles to go before I take this exam, however.

Failure is only temporary! I have the speed of a turtle, but this old turtle keeps putting one foot in front of the other. We will all become CPAs IF we do not quit! I keep telling myself that I will never have to take another CPA exam for the rest of my life!

75 CPA….we're in the same boat. If I don't pass AUD on 5/31, I lose credit for REG that I passed in 11/2008. I'm taking FAR this Saturday (5/15) and am WAY behind on my studying (tax season in MA got an extension to 5/11…..I'm tired!)

Kate….keep your chin up and stick with it….DON'T YOU DARE give up…. As one's who's gotten a 69, 74, 74 on my last three AUD tests…..I reserve the right to Piss & Moan about this 🙂

When it comes to the CPA exam…………never give up….Never Give Up……NEVER GIVE UP !!!

We will soon forget all the pain and suffering when we pass that final CPA exam! I am so ready for a vacation, but all I can do is dream. Now, back to work. I have 7 Gleim modules to go.
