Stressed and disappointed from Audit section

    Audit is my last section(passed all others at first attempt), and I just sat for a 3rd time for Audit yesterday. I scored really badly at 48 the first time, then spent quite a good amount of study time and scored 70. This is my third attempt, and I spent over 120 hours of hard-core study, including all MCQ from Bisk and Gleim. Yet I feel that I bombed it again. First testlet was quite easy, second appeared to be hard, and third probably hard or medium. I guessed half of the simulations due to lack of time, and I believe I wrote two good essays. What else could I study if I already did all MCQ available, and read the review books several times? Please advise…I should better start studying again, because I have only one more attempt before I loose FAR:(:(:( This is horribly depressing:(

    Juls, your first 48 is really a “toss-out” and the 70 is your base. You most likely added 5 points to your score especially if you did all the Gleim CPA Test Prep MCQs.

    AUD is also my last section which I have failed twice (70,69).

    I'm taking AUD for the 3rd time on May 30th.

    I have felt very confident and knew the material very well each time I failed.

    My study approach for the 3rd time is to do 2,000 to 3,000 MCQs each 2 times maybe 3 times.

    I've done all the MCQs in both the Wiley book and Wiley CD additional MCQs. I'm also in the process of doing all the MCQs in the Gleim CPA Test Prep which has 1,783 MCQs.

    I believe to pass AUD is NOT enough to read and know the reports ect., you have to basically concentrate on doing thousands of MCQs over and over again to pass.

    But people who work in AUD have a much easier time….it's kinda like cake-walk for them….lol

    BEC=77, FAR=78, REG=73,74,80, AUD=70,69, 84 DONE!

    I am taking AUD for the second time. I made a 64 on the first try, which I call my progress report. What helped me to understand the material better was Garland with Lambers. It was the best $300 that I ever spent for AUD! Garland is the best teacher for AUD, better than Becker, Roger and Yaeger (Gary), which I used for my first exam.

    Before I started with Garland (Lambers), I made a 65 on my Gleim Online diagnostic exam. My numbers with Gleim were very consistent with the real AUD exam. I am now making between 70% and 90% on Gleim. I am still not confident going into AUD on May 28; however, my scores have improved about 15 points after I used Lambers (Garland).

    Never underestimate the power of a good teacher.
