    MCQ 1296

When an auditor performs nonaudit services for a client subject to GAO standards, the auditor should obtain assurance that management performs the following functions:

    A.
    Assume all responsibility

    Incorrect B.
Evaluate the adequacy and results of the services performed

    C.
Accept responsibility for the results of the services

    D.
All of the answer choices are correct.

What does A mean? What does it mean the client has to “accept all responsibilities“? Sounds pretty strongly worded.

    AUD - 93
    BEC - 87
    FAR - 77
    REG - 77
    ------------
    Corporate finance leader

    BEC - 87 | 02/28
    REG - 70 | 06/10, REMATCH | 08/30
    AUD - XX | 09/10
    FAR - XX | 12/10

Remember the auditor assumes responsibility for the work they have done and client also has their own responsibility. I have always been told that when you see ALL on audit that answe choice is usually wrong.
