    Hello all,

So I recently posted back on Tuesday when scores came out that I got a 68 on AUD. I really thought I had it this time and studied a lot more than I have in a long time using Gleim. This was my third attempt at AUD (first attempt – 54, second – 60)

So here is my dilemma: do I jump right back to AUD and take it say next month, or switch to REG? In a lot of ways I don’t even want to look at my AUD book again. Also, my FAR credit expires on February 19, 2019 as well, so I need to keep that in mind.

What do you think is the most logical route? AUD is still somewhat recent since I took the exam on August 20.
    Thanks.

    AUD - 76
    BEC - 78
    FAR - 78
    REG - 80

I would go on and take Aud again and maybe supplement with Ninja. Changing to another section might not be a good strategy even though you might want to do like me and bury you head in the sand and forget it. But the only way to pass is to try again while it is fresh since you have to get another nts anyway. What the hey go for it.

    It begins with a 75

Take AUD again. It’s not going to be very efficient to go to REG and then back to AUD. When you feel like you studied enough study more. Feb 2019 will be here before you know it so commit to a plan and study any chance you get. You don’t want to take the beast over again. I agree switch up your MC. Ninja seems highly recommended. Be sure to review any questions you got wrong and understand each of the wrong answers and the right one. Don’t memorize them. This was the key for me, I got more out of the MC practice this way.

    AUD - 88
    BEC - 87
    FAR - 80
    REG - 91

Hi @EANcpa76, sorry about the news. AUD is one of the sections that I am most confident with. I say that because I practiced auditing for many years and a lot of the concepts are easy for me to understand by applying my practical knowledge. Auditing has a lot of questions that contain 2 answers that look correct and require a lot of judgment. Give yourself some credit. You have been increasing your score with each attempt. With your last score of 68, you were only 7 points away. Here are my recommendations for you:
    • You should sit for AUD the first week of October. You have no time to waste and all of your efforts need to go toward this test. You do not want to lose FAR, as such; you’ll need to take REG in December and BEC in January. There is no room for error at this point. You need to be determined.
    • Since you’re using GLEIM, did you take the Exam Rehearsal? What was your score? Call Gleim and have them reset this so you can use it again. This allows you to pin point your weak areas. Use their Final Review Mode. Then you’ll need to ensure that you go back and read those areas, create flashcards and ensure you have those concepts down cold.
    • Gleim has a huge test bank; did you do over 1K questions? Try to do questions you have not seen by customizing your practice tests in their test bank.
    • Look at your score report. What were your weaker areas? Focus on those and ensure you’re trending above 80% in the Gleim test bank.
    • Complete the AICPA practice exam.
    • Eliminate all distractions and ensure you are cranking questions daily.
    • Create a plan from today until the day of your test and have someone hold you accountable.
    Good Luck!
