Just Took AUD

After having failed AUD by 1 point last window, I just got done with my retake yesterday. I must say I feel great about it. The first testlet was an absolute joke, I got through it in probably less than 30 minutes. It did seem like the second and third testlets were supposed to be harder, but they were still extremely easy with maybe a few difficult ones trickled in. I feel like I could have gotten as high as 90% on the mc but at least 80%. The sims were a bit off the wall with a couple of easy tabs. About 2 of the tabs were easy and 3 or 4 were quite difficult. The communication and research wasn’t too badly. I may have bombed a couple of the tabs, but I don’t think it’s going to hurt me too bad. There’s a good chance I got 10/10 on the wc. This was by far the easiest test I’ve taken so far. It was night and day compared to my last exam (FAR), which was an absolute nightmare. I am about 99% certain I passed this one, which is expected considering I’ve basically studied for it twice and worked over 2,000 different mc (Becker and Wiley) in my most recent attempt only.

Now on to BEC. Less than a month ago, I was waiting on my FAR score and was certain I failed. I had an AUD retake looming and was discouraged about that as well. Now I’m sitting here with FAR passed and most certainly AUD finished as well. Don’t get discouraged if you feel bad about a test, just wait until you get the score. Things can turn around quickly with this exam. One passing score can really change you. When I got my FAR score, it was one of the best days of my life especially considering I thought I made about a 60 on it.

    AUD - 74, 87; BEC - 84; FAR - 78; REG - 79

GSU Josh and others who have already taken the Audit exam this window, I need to know if there are many questions in Audit Sampling and IT? Are all questions more on theory/concepts or with computations?

    BEC 2/8/10 - 75 (studied hard & prayed less)
REG 5/15/10 - 88 (studied less but prayed hard)
AUDITING 8/9/10 - 79 (studied hard and prayed hard)
FAR 11/30/10 - 79 (studied hard and prayed hard) Thanks GOD! I'm DONE

It may not be a huge portion of the test, but I would definitely take the time to learn both concepts well. If you skip over them, you are definitely going to give up some precious points on the test.

I just got back from taking AUD and felt I should share some insight seeing as how helpful everyone else on this board is to me.

First of all, regardless of my score, by me doing almost 5 times as many MCQ as I did before my first attempt (71), I felt exponentially more comfortable and some answers were just jumping off the page at me which was not the case the first time. There were still 6-8 in each testlet that I had to narrow down between a few answers but by in large the comfort level with the questions was much better so if you have time before your exam do as many practice MCQ as possible before the exam.

Second, the simulations seemed a bit more straightforward than the last time, although they may have been my weakest part (score report said comparable last time). The written communication (score report was stronger last time) was just as manageable as before and if you are confident in your writing skills, this should be the easiest points on the exam from my experience.

    Good luck to everyone…
