its definitely possible to finish with that much time on the AUD test, I know many people finish well before (1+hour) before the alotted time is up. I headed into the sims with like 2:40 minutes left and could have probably gotten to the sims with like 3:10 left if I went faster. The AUD sims were very easy imo and therefore if you did know your MC and SIMS then you could have easily passed with 2.5 hours left. GL!

I finished with an hour remaining on AUD and I'm typically pretty slow. I had almost 2.5 hours left when I started the sims but I took my time. There was nothing on my test that I wasn't familiar with (I use Bisk which is pretty similar to Becker), but there was some stuff that I thought was pretty detailed. The MC's weren't too terrible and I could've done them faster, but I was trying to read the questions carefully.

My communications were pretty straight-forward and my research tabs were as expected, but the other parts of the simulations were kind of weird. They weren't hard necessarily, but I felt like they focused on some stuff that you'd probably only see “once in a blue moon” in a working environment. (I work at a CPA firm) I agree that some of the topics were totally random & off the wall…that being said, I think it is fair to say that you could have passed even with 2.5 hours left. We only have about 2 weeks to wait for scores (hopefully!) so good luck.

I'm pretty slow and methodical too and I finished with half hour to spare (but I took a 12 minute break in between sim 1 and sim 2). I know that I went through the test realllllly slowly simply because I knew I could. I had just taken REG the end of April and there I was really crunched for time (finished with 5 min to spare). So with AUD, I really pushed the fact that I could take as long as I wanted ( I knew before taking the exam that most people had lots of time to spare).

By taking my time, I mean reading through every question twice initially, marking the ones I wasn't 100% sure, going back through the marked ones, and then going back through all the questions again. Didn't do that for the sims, but I spent a looong time on the written communications, making everything perfect. Again, this was all due to the fact that I had just taken REG where every minute was precious and where I couldn't do all of this. It was amazing to go through the test feeling totally unrushed. I know that if I had gone into it feeling like it was REG, in terms of the timing, I definitely could have finished the exam with more than an hour to spare. Going into the sims for REG, I had 1 and 1/2 hours…going into the sims for AUD, I had 2 and 1/2 hours. And my REG sims had more tabs….so you can easily do the math.

I'm jealous I finished with only 4 minutes left and could have easily used another 15 or so. I'm guessing it all boils down to how well you know the material and not necessarily what the clock says.
