Getting into study for audit has been rough. I've foregone study time for other commitments and now I'm facing a heck of a power weekend if I want to stay on track.

I just need to stay focused on passing these exams more quickly. I'm scared that the 18 month rule might bite me!

@bluegirl – my cat gets back to me for not playing with him enough by waking me up 1 or 2 times a night. It's been fun. He needs a buddy, but I don't want to add another cat until I have more room.

@hustlin – yeah May is going to be painful for us. How did your weekend go? I didn't study as much as I wanted. So I am going to start staying up later each night this week and pray I can still wake up on time!

Eh, it was better than it has been.

I probably got 4 hours in each day. For now, I am just hitting 50 MCQ testbanks in Wiley over and over and making files on notes from what I miss. I don't see how people can do more than 200 questions a day – my brain feels fried after 50 if I don't take a break.

I have no choice but to power it out until Saturday. You know that feeling, when you've looked at the material so much you feel like there's no way you can't pass, but you still blank. That's me – so I'm just going for it.

You are so lucky to have one left! A month is plenty of time to study for audit!

I can't get to 200 a day either! Usually when I'm reviewing where all I do is mcq's the most I can do is 90(3 sets of 30 spread about the day).

Thanks… But I'm actually really worried about being overconfident having only one left. I have always passed every other since my first pass because I get overconfident lol. Hoping I keep this going though because that would mean I will pass this time!

@Hustlin – did you take FAR and REG in May???!!

I think quitting drinking (except a glass the night before and a bottle the day of an exam!) and deactivating FB really helped me focus. Also missing out on some fun weekends, happy hours, and other socialization keeps me focused.

And going without, really makes me want to pass faster so I can join in on the fun again.

Thank you! I did 200 MCQ a day the three days leading up to the test day and went over notes and wiley book, plus about 40 sims. I hope it was enough. It was a tough exam, I have no idea how to gauge my performance, thankfully I do not have to wait much longer to find out my fate…

Awww!!! I snuck on the site maybe once or twice the past few months. For some reason, Q1 season was a lot busier than tax season. Ugh. Anyway, I have to admit that I only studied part time. I didnt go HAM on it this time around but as soon as I started studying 3 weeks prior to exam date, everything came back to me. I thought my exam was extremely simple. Nothing like the exam I took in early January with lengthy questions. At one point during the exam, I thought maybe the testlets were stuck on medium because it was the complete opposite with the test I took in January. I swear that the exams are a lot simpler towards the end of the testing window but then again, I'm not sure if the red dress did anything to my luck.I chucked the red panties and bra and went in with a bang! lolz!!! What's funny is that there were other people there in red. lmao. I think the exam could go either way too. I am sure you did well on your exam! Let the count down begin!! Good luck to us!!

@littlenumberrobot you might be done already and now you just have to wait to find out!!! Ahhhhhhh! How do you feel about your audit score on a scale of 1-10? I took a hiatus too but it was due to wedding shish! I was totally like, I can study and get ready for a wedding at the same time!…… yeah, no, it was too much for me. (sort of lame, I know). Anyway I just took audit too! I honestly felt like it was the easiest test out of any of the sections. Hopefully that doesn't mean terrible things! Will you celebrate with any sort of trip/festivities/shopping if/when you are DONE this weekend?! 🙂

@supervisor – I hope we are done. Saturday cannot come soon enough!! I was out of town for a wedding last weekend so I didn't have much time to think about it. Now it's all I think about… I have no idea what to do with my free time!! I may only have it for one week, I better use it well.

@nbad311 – I feel like my chances to pass are at a 8. Like I said I think the SIMS may save me… or sink me!! I always thought audit was easy until my last score(69). That one hurt. Ha. No big plans, but my boyfriend and I are finding out Saturday if we are both done with this exam…. so we have planned a “nothing to do day”. We intend to veg out & celebrate or veg out & sulk. Congrats on your wedding! I don't think that is lame at all. Wedding planning and studying for CPA are like 2nd and 3rd jobs… it's a tough balance. I've been a MOH during studying and it was like my 3rd job 😉

I'm sure you did well, littlenumber. It must feel crazy to have NO studying to do!

I came back to this thread because I am planning on coming back from my hiatus too. I had a crazy April doing interim audits and didn't pass FAR for my third time and ended up just taking a stab at REG with no studying because my NTS was expiring and I would have had two weeks to completely study it.

I'm just getting tired of this game…for such a long time I was on the losing team, came back with my two passes within two months and now I'm stuck back in the “can't even score in the 70's rut”, with the new CA requirements nipping at my heels.

I remember taking audit the first time with you back when we were both struggling to pass. It's great to see how far you've come!

Hey Hustlin, Honestly I had a hard time deciding what to do last night. It was my first week night off. It was weird!! I don't want to get too used to the freedom, I may have to give it back come Saturday morning.
