I just received my scores for the AUD section. I took it for the first time on MAY 28, and I received a score of 66. I felt really good about the multiple choice, and sot so good about the sims and written comm. I ended up doing well on the written. Figures! I studied for about 3 months, while finishing school, and I don’t think I can do it anymore. This exam has consumed my life, and I have lost so much time with my children because of it. I was able to find out how the exam is scored, I believe I found it on the CPA-org website, and it is so hard to pass based on the scoring techniques. After I saw that, I knew I didn’t pass. It seems like you have to get atleast 85% of it right to earn a 75%. I thought the sims were much more difficult than my review materials. I used Kaplan and Gleim. I felt like I learned so much by studying the Gleim rather than Kaplan. Kaplan’s questions do not reflect the covered material. They are so far beyond. Not sure what to do at this point. I have studied FAR for the last month, and I am discouraged, and feel like it is not worth consuming my life.

Missy41 – Hang in there! I know how you feel. My score came Friday in the mail after I left work early to race to get the mail fully expecting to have passed Audit and then the dreaded back of the letter had stuff on it and I instantly knew I failed.Friday night was horrible, but I woke up this morning renewed and probably more focused now about what I need to do. I am taking REG on 7/23 and was hoping that would have been the last and I would get my life back. I've been studying non-stop since January. My co-worker last night called me and said, you haven't failed it's just a setback. You only fail the CPA exam if you quit. Please do not give up! I'm using Becker and it's worked pretty well, I'm also supplementing it with CPA Review for Free and this time I'm writing down the questions I missed and the explanations for them. This forum is great too – we are all in the same boat!

Good luck, it will be worth when you finish.

    BEC 77; FAR 81; AUD 70, (TBD); REG 7/23

I can understand how you felt about your 66 score in Auditing. l can relate to that, My first auditing attempt, l got a 66 also. and on the second attempt l got a 79 and I used Becker. Just like you the first time, l studied for three months. However, on the second attempt, l studied for only 4 weeks. I watch the video and attempt the homework questions about 900 twice. l do believe that if you practices the multiple choice questions, you would be in a better shape for the exam. I have successfully passed all the exams and currently reading the ethics test.
