So this is my first time going thru this horrible process. I have taken FAR (73) and AUD (77), so if I pass REG and BEC, how long do I have to take FAR again and pass?

yay passed audit~~ now I'm done with the cpa exam, and I don't know what to do next. Need to find an accounting job… Can anyone here offer me a job? hehe…

Jeff, can I ask you this: if I passed my exam, but still have no any work experience required to get the license… let's say after 4 years would my exam score be expired and I have to retake the tests again??

    Good Luck to ALL

    Thanks!

@ Alice CPA wannabe, hmm now that I'm answering this, I'm not sure if the work experience is designated by your state, but here in PA once you pass you have 10 years to get your work experience. Once the 150 hour requirement goes into effect in 2011 I believe it goes down to 5 years (could be wrong on this) but you only need one years experience then. You do have to maintain your CPE requirements though. Not sure how all that works. I am in the same boat, I am employeed, but not under a currently liscensed CPA so I will need to change jobs to get my work experience. Definatly envious of those who are getting their experience as they are studing.

Congratulations to everyone that passed AUD this window.

I am wondering if anyone has some advice about ‘purchasing' a rescore. I took all four tests during the October/November testing window; receiving scores as follows: BEC 84, REG 91, FAR 88 and AUD 73 (only thing worse than a 73 is a 74). Should I pay the $200 for a rescore for AUD? I know NASBA claims less than a 1% chance that scores will change but given my other scores maybe, just maybe, they could bump it up 2 points.

AlmostMadeIt, I'm afraid I don't have advice on the rescore issue, but I wanted to say that I think it's amazing you passed 3 out of 4 in a single testing window!! How ever did you manage that?

    FAR 86 | BEC 94 | AUD 90 | REG 85
    All done! used Becker

    AlmostMadeIt,

I wouldn't waste the money on a rescore. Have read in the past in Jeff's post that no scores were change in 2008 as a result of a rescore. Your chances of them changing your score is virtually nil. I would take that $200 and apply it to a new NTS spend 2 to 3 weeks studying and retake. I also scored a 73 on AUD, and with a 4 month break I studied 55 hours over 3 weeks and raised my score to an 81 using Becker. I passed FAR in between my failure and AUD retake that is why there was a 4 month break. I agree with Zena, taking all four exams and passing three is an amazing accomplishment. I could have never done it in my situation. Good Luck on which ever you decide.
