    aogreen,

Honestly, I don't even remember where I scored weaker. I'm going to say it's in the ‘performing audit procedures & evaluating audit procedures.' I'd have to dig up my papers.

My issue is I've always been in tax and never into audit whatsoever. I believe a lot of auditors and tax preparers have different learning styles and ways of thinking. I have issue narrowing down the answers when two, sometimes three answers, sound soo right. Tax seems a little more cut and dry.

The first 73 sucked, but I just moved on to regulation right away. The second time I took the test I reallyyyyy wanted to pass knowing I was so close the time before and I put way too much stress on myself during the test. I second-guessed a lot. I know if I wouldn't have been as stressed during the exam I would have passed. But then, moved right on to BEC.

I have spent much more time on MCQs than I did the prior two times and I think that will help. If I can just figure out how to keep my stress levels down during the exam, I hope I can get those TWO points I need.

    Hi all,

I am totally new on this CPA review and test process. I have a foreign accounting degree and I was just approved by the California Board of Accountancy to sit for the test and I am aware how difficult this is. I am planning on start study after next tax season since I am currently working on a CPA firm. However I am very interested on doing the audios , in fact I would like to start listening to the audios now. I was wondering if any of you have used the audios and maybe you can give me a feedback. Also, do you know if the materials in general including the audios will get updated since the test structure is changing in April 2017?

Thank you for your help and good luck to all of you.

I'm sure the audios will be updated. I would email Jeff and ask him directly. The partner of my firm did not think that experience would help as much as recently graduating, but I definitely think he is wrong for the most part. Except for BEC, I don't think I could have passed any other section. I only have Audit left which is Monday.

Isn't the practice exam made of the regular MCQs? Which means if I've been through the MCQs few times, I will do good on the practice exam, Am I right?

You should. But in my experience, out of 1600 questions, I still tend to miss some. Even when I have answered them correctly at least once.

Yes, I still miss some too but my point is I don't see the benefit of doing the practice exam, I can just keep answering questions and sims.

@forem – I see you were asking about the review stage, when you answer all the questions correct, you hit that review stage but nothing new after that. I hit the review stage last week and did reset the scores and started from the beginning.
