Hey all. I just found out I failed AUD on 8/28 with a 72. I'm considering retaking it in Q4, maybe in Nov? That should give me 6-8 weeks, not counting a vacation I have to take. Is that enough time?

I was also advised to buy Becker, but it's ridiculously expensive and I'm seeing a lot of people here say that it didn't “guess” at the right parts to study, so I'm thinking about getting Wiley instead. Then I'll have my Kaplan book (mostly a paperweight), NINJA notes & MCQs, and the CPAexcel program. Does that sound like a good balance? I don't want to overpay for a 3rd program, but I've got to change something…

    Exam:I'm done 🙂 🙂 🙂
    REG - 71 (2/22/14); 67 (4/3/14); 74 (8/29/15); 83 (2/29/16)!!!
    BEC - 72 (5/24/14); 85 (1/3/15)!!!!
    AUD - 72 (8/23/14); 76 (10/15/14)!!!
    FAR - 77 (5/26/15)!!!

Started in 2013 using Kaplan and failed REG, REG, BEC, AUD. Switched to NINJA suite in Sept 2014 and passed AUD...then BEC...then FAR!
REG took 2 tries but I finally got it in too!
I'm a hard convert - Using NINJA method with NINJA video/book/notes/MCQ

    Education: Check
    Experience: 3 months left! I hit 4 years on May 30 🙂

I started off with just the Wiley books and 10pt package with WTB (before Jeff launched the MCQs). That worked fine for FAR and BEC because I have some familiarity with the subject matter. Starting with REG I added the NINJA MCQs and Roger CRAM for a nice condensed video set. I'm thinking I'll probably do the same for AUD. For the money I think both the Roger CRAM and ninja MCQs are well worth it. Nice job avoiding Becker. From what I've heard about it…The best thing that ever happened to me as a CPA candidate is stumbling on this site before I made a 4 thousand dollar mistake…

    MBA,CMA,CPA, CFF?, ABV?

Rzbkfaith, in the book it states attest engagement requires independence as defined by the AICPA professional standards and AR60 states that a compilation is an attest service, but not an assurance service. I'm confused, I thought compilation was neither?

@CPAHOPEFUL11 Attestation services provide assurance (either positive with an audit or negative with a review and so on). A compilation provides no assurance, which is why independence is not required, but the lack thereof be disclosed. The easiest way to remember is that if you are going to give ANY kind of assurance (think about the reports an accountant would issue) you MUST be independent.

    AUD - 99
    BEC - 97
    REG - 91
    FAR - 1/8/16

Yeah I get that, but thought only examinations, reviews, and agreed upon procedures were attest engagements. SSARS section is not too bad, not sure why I scored weaker on it last time around.

Does anybody know how to review the questions I got wrong when we are using the NINJA MCQ? I can only see my performance percentage but I have no idea where I can see the explanations for the questions I got wrong. Thanks.
