Welp… done with Wiley TB.. did all MCQs once, then a random set of 20 for each section as a final review.. pretty happy with how I did on that.. except SAMPLING.. I suck at sampling!!!! arghhh

what! you don't like my random tips! well maybe somebody will find them useful.. I seriously hate those negative terms lol

I think okay it's ineffective so it must not relate to effectiveness, because it's not effective! But it's efficient cause less work is done etc. So relates to efficiency, but no, it's effectiveness. bah.

When negotiable securities are of considerable volume, planning by the auditor is necessary to guard against

    A. Unauthorized negotiation of the securities before they are counted.

    B. Unrecorded sales of securities after they are counted.

    C. Substitution of securities already counted for other securities which should be on hand but are not.

D, Substitution of authentic securities with counterfeit securities.

Haha, I was just messing but those are so easy questions yet I've missed a few of them.

    Assessing control risk too low=Ineffective

    Assessing control risk too high=Inefficient

    Incorrect acceptance=Ineffective

    Incorrect rejection=Inefficient

    Incorrect acceptance/rejection=Substantive tests

Assessing control risk too low/high=Test of control

I think that about covers what we need to know for sampling, right?

variables sampling vs attributes sampling, tolerable rate, deviation rate, when does sample size increase, PPS, sampling interval, stratified, block, ratio estimation vs difference estimation…

    and ????

Tainting factor and sampling interval maybe? I don't know but there is a simulation on it in the Ninja MCQ.

    Unstratified mean-per-unit

    B.

    Probability-proportional-to-size

    C.

@Future Ninja I've not seen A or C in my materials so either B or D. I'm thinking since it's large volume stratification will be ideal but without looking thru my notes, I'm not sure which one uses stratification but I think B sounds like it.

@cpaby2015 – B was my answer too. but the correct answer as per Ninja is D. ratio estimation
