Test on Wednesday…I have seen all the mcq and sims from Ninja and most of Roger ones. The sims on Ninja seem slightly easier than Roger and I've spent more time on those, going to focus on a few more from Roger sims in the next 2 days. Just on my review saw something that might give us an extra point: Letter of Inquiry to lawyer is a presumptive requirement for U.S Auditing standards. International standards only require an attorney's letter when an auditor assesses risk of material misstatement. Good luck everybody!

Took AUD a week and a half ago.

How do you know if you got the difficult or the moderate question bank in the 2nd testlet?

    Hey guys!

For those who have taken the AUD exam, I know that something that helped me big time with the FAR simulations was looking at the AICPA Blueprints and studying the topics that are skill-tested for Analysis and Evaluation . Does the same concept apply to AUD as far as studying those SIMS that have the Analysis and Evaluation checkmarks? If so, then the Audit Evidence would be the most tested topic for sims. Can anyone here corroborate that? Thanks

@Pendragon87: No idea if its helpful or not. Haven't seen too many people talk about the AUD blueprint like they do for FAR…
@Big4: Good luck! What is your plan for these last few days?? Any pointers?
@iceman: usually you can just tell by the questions you're getting in the second testlet as compared to the first. For me I can't tell if they ever got hard but they either stayed the same level of difficulty as the 1st tetstlet or got easier. .
@lexi: goodluck today! let us know how it goes….

@Allsheneeded – Same as before. I'm going to keep hammering MCQs then do light SIMs on transaction cycles and audit procedures on different mgt assertions, which are all my weak areas.

I got a 68 on the Becker Mock, taking my test tomorrow and hammering out my weak areas. I know recently the Becker Mock hasn't been indicative of success so I'm kind of worried about the outcome. I finished all the units in Becker and probably practices 1500 MCQ's. I have two kids, a 8 year-old and 7 month-old and this process of studying has been hard since my husband isn't available for support since he travels a lot for work. I am a little sad because I'm tired and exhausted, I studied on average about 6-8 hours-a-day for the past 6 weeks, 6 weeks for FAR prior to that, and did minimal housework and chores, even stopped brushing my hair so that I can utilize as much time possible to study. With the kids, I try to be present for them because sometimes I'm the only parent in the house and they deserve one present parent. I have never taken AUD before but I have failed FAR (twice) and just knowing there is a chance I might fail after all of this hard work is somewhat mentally draining. I must say that this test isn't designed for someone who's been out of college for a few years. Anyways, just wanted to vent a little before I do my final bit of studying. Wish me luck.

@Cottonkandi – You've put in the time and effort so just do your best tomorrow. Hope for the best and prepare for the worst! You got this.

To anyone who has taken the exam or anyone who knows: Is it true that they will give you the formulas for financial ratios on the SIMs? To my understanding they will be testing that we understand how to analyze the numbers instead of testing that we memorized the formula, but I just want to double check.

Well…I gotta say I'm glad that's over. I can't really tell if my second testlet got harder. They were all about the same. SIMS wise I got 2 DRS, manageable, 1 Research and the rest were very similar to the AICPA sample. I'm so glad I practice that 3 times! hoping for a 75…my last try was a 72. Keep looking at reports guy, hammer those MCQ's and good luck!

@Cottonkandi: I can relate to everything you're saying. I'm a parent and it is so hard to juggle everything. You're doing the best you can given the circumstances. I hope you did well today and that you pass this darn thing. I never had time to take the mocks but people get those scores all over the place. Don't let that be indicative of your preparedness. Now that the test is behind you, take a break and enjoy the kids for a minute. 🙂

@Rubberducky: They did not provide it for AUD when I had a ratio question. In BEC they did..
@Lexi: Sounds like you did well! 🙂 The waiting game begins…

@big4: Assertions are my weak area as well. Did not do so hot on those in the last retake. So subjective…

@Lexi – Glad to hear that yours went well! I'm sure you did just fine.
@Allsheneeded – When is your exam?
