    @Big4BeanCounter

    Are there things you think you should've done differently when studying for AUD last quarter? Browsing through the prior study group, it looked like you had it down!

    @Grape – Honestly, I'm going to use the same study strategy/method I used for Q2 for AUD this time around with a little more emphasis on my weak area. According to the score performance report, I was “stronger” on all the contents except for “Performing Further Procedures and Obtaining Evidence”, which consists up to 40% of the exam. This content also deals with different transaction cycles and internal control related topics. I was actually surprised to see that I got a 72 on AUD when I put in the same amount of time and effort AND used the same study method for FAR and BEC (I passed them with a flying color as you can see in my signature).

    Perhaps, I underestimated the underlying difficult of AUD simulations. I've never had issues with MCQ testlets. You know what they say – it's easy to study AUD, but difficult to pass. Like I just mentioned, I felt okay about the exam after coming out of the prometric test center, but the score indicates the otherwise. You never know how the table is going to turn around regardless of how you feel after taking these exams.

    For those who have passed. What do write on the blank sheets of paper provided during exam day? – Testing AUD tomorrow.

    Thanks for sharing. I completely agree. My exam is tomorrow and I've been feeling extremely uneasy these last couple of days. This is one of those where you think you understand a topic, but then you do questions and can't get them right! Ugh. This is going to be a retake for me. I attempted in Q1 and as you mentioned, I underestimated the difficulty of this section.

    Good luck everyone! Stay positive and hopeful!

    Progress Update:
    Almost through going over all the materials. Just have one more chapter (A6 – SSAEs/Ethics), then start hammering through MCQs. Surprisingly, I still remember a lot of the concepts, so it took me just 4-5 days to go over the book, so now I have over 2 weeks to review by just pounding MCQs. I already moved up the exam date to the 28th from the 1st of Sept. I hope everyone who's studying for AUD is having just as much as I am haha. Suffer now, and cherish your moment forever!

    I'm taking AUD tomorrow. Does the fact that others have had a sampling SIM question mean that I will see one too? I know my elementary stats well, but the way the CPA presents the concepts is just awful…

    @Iceman – Honestly, no one knows whether you'll have the same SIM as others so it's just better to prepare going in. Good luck on your exam though!

    @Big4BeanCounter: I've wrapped up A6 yesterday. I'm trying to get down A4- Transaction Cycle since there's so many elements to it and it's often tested as SIMS and going through A2 and A3 since I kind of glossed them over when I started studying. Going to start my review on Saturday.

    @Cottonkandi – A4 is definitely a lot of information and it's also the meat of the AUD exam. It's really difficult to learn every single detail/aspect of each transaction cycle, so I think the key is to see the big picture. When is your exam?

    @Big4BeanCounter – I plan to take it August 23rd. Then slip in REG this quarter, since my BEC will expire at the end of Dec. With transaction cycles I'm trying to do that, trying to look at the big picture. I feel like things go well for me when I review a section twice.

    Hi everyone – just checking in to see how everyone is doing. I ended up taking a longish break because we had a lot to figure out on the home front (buying/selling/moving cross country). Hate that studying didn't happen the last few weeks but I still want to sit for the test in Q3 before the big move. Fingers crossed…

    Taking AUD for the 4th time on the 23rd. 68,74,72. I hate this section with a passion and am not feeling great as I review AGAIN.

    Not sure if I should rewrite notes from my previous attempts under Roger, read the Ninja notes and book, or just constantly work MCQ.
