It is my understanding that the AICPA dropped testing the 10 original standards begining January 2014 and is now only testing the Clarified Standards. I saw this on the Rogers site, however, I am using CPAExcel and here too, the main focus in the clarified standards.

Can this be confirmed? I am not looking for content, just want to know if theis statement on Rogers website is fact or not. I cannot find this on the AICPA site, however, they have eliminated the old standards fron the SAS's.

    Thanks,

    C. Lang

Hey thechapman, I'm having a lot of trouble on the Evidence portion. What's an easy way to remember how things work in that section?

I am taking AUD tomorrow and am super nervous because I just took my Becker final exams and didn't do too hot on either one. I received grades similar to my FAR final exam grades and barely scathed by with a 75. I didn't review any of the ratios and on the Becker final exam there was a ratio sim. I really hope that doesn't happen tomorrow. At this point not much else I can do that reread through some notes and go over my final exams. AHH!

Taking Audit for the third time this Saturday. Did well on the first becker practice exam, did TERRIBLE on the second. I hate this test so much!!! Hoping to sneak out with a 75 and be done with this journey. I see Cparunner struggled on the Becker practice exam. anyone else having that experience?

Take heart! The practice exams in Becker were WAY harder than the actual exam. Seriously. I was doubting myself seriously after taking those practice exams and felt so much more comfortable in the actual exam. But I think that is what it is designed to do. You overestimate the exam difficulty so that you are prepared for anything.

So what defines material interest from a non-immediate family member?

On my to my Audit exam, I made a pact with myself that if I passed this part of the exam this time, I was going to change my name to C-DOG for the next 12 months. I'm holding on to very little hope of answering to that moniker. Bummer… I was looking to introducing myself as C-DOG sans the Reports.

    Need ur help plzzzzzzzzz,

in a research question, what's the different between the question that asked for section rather than the guidance ?? it makes sense ??

    for example:

1)which section of the professional st. provides guidance for the management …………?

    2) what guidance is provided by AICPA prof. st. related to ………?

    AUD: 81 (Done)
    REG: Currently studying
    FAR: TBD
    BEC: TBD

This is the first time I'll be going into a section feeling reasonably confident. I just want to get it over with! I did fail this section once, but that was two years ago and I was using a self-study course that wasn't really beneficial to me.

Does every AUD Sim rely on checking the research tab?

Also in the AUD section, if it doesn't say whether it is an issuer or not do you assume it is a non issuer?

    @Sunni

No, not all SIMS rely on the authoritative literature. You do need to have the base knowledge but it is likely that some of your SIMS can be checked using the AL. Also you will clearly know if you have an issuer or nonissuer for those questions where it matters.
