Well, I'm taking audit on August 30th. Just finished taking FAR and so, I haven't studied for AUD at all. I have taken it once before, though, and with minimal studying (using CPAExcel, which I did not jive with at all) I got a 70, so here's hoping. I've also worked as an auditor for close to three years now – surely that will help me. Using Roger CPA and the Wiley test bank. Wish me luck!

    BEC - 72, 82! ✓
    FAR - 80! ✓
    AUD - 70, 92! ✓
    REG - 74, 78! ✓

Just started studying for AUD today. I was in public accounting for a little over a year and a half and have been in IA for almost 2 years, so this material is almost laughably familiar. Granted I am only halfway through A1 but I am hoping it stays this way, all the way through! Anyone else with significant audit experience feel this way?

@cpain2014: I took AUD last Saturday, second attempt. It was more difficult for MCQ's–but Ninja prepares you well. From the time I found out my score on the first attempt to the second exam, I did over 60 hours and 4200+ MCQ's all on Ninja. Don't rely too much on MCQ's for “learning” they are good practice and help identify weak areas, but you really are only memorizing those specific questions and answers. IIf you can get to the point where you know why 3 answers are incorrect and why they are incorrect, then you have a pretty good grasp of the info. The week leading up to the test I was scoring in the upper 80's and low 90's, I felt really good about the MCQ's. The reality is you will see some “familiar” questions, but for the most part–it seems–AICPA tries really hard to word questions differently (sometimes to the point they don't make sense) or use different aspects of a topic to ask questions about. I would and will for myself, moving forward stay away from MCQ's for the days leading up to the exam. I am going to review my notes, over and over. I actually read my notes right before I walked into Prometric last Saturday and I got 3 questions that asked info I had just reviewed that was minor and not in the MCQ's.

    AUD: 67, 81 (NINJA MCQ's ONLY for 2nd Attempt)
    FAR: NOT GOOD, LARRY!
    REG: ??
    BEC: 4/4/2015

i can see 100% why people fail aud

i just got an 85% on my MC quiz, it was on substantive procedures of the sales, ar,cash cycle. I'm so weak in that area and was 90% confused throughout the quiz. Lol like wtf

@mjp44 somewhere between chp 3-6, i think it's actually a bad question because the question and answer were word for word from the book.

How are you guys studying things like how “X” affects such and such paragraph in a report? Is there any efficient way to do that?

@chapman do you mean like in A1(not sure if you're using Becker) when they talk about how a modified opinion affects specific paragraphs and all that?

    @Amanda_88

Yes, a big part of what I'm talking about is how different things affect paragraphs of certain reports, such as from A1. It just seems like there are so many nitpicky things that you have to memorize that don't rely on a conceptual understanding as much. I have a pretty solid understanding of the material that requires an understanding of “why” things make sense for the exam, but what's killing me is trying to memorize a bunch of things that just “are the way they are” if that makes any sense.

I typed out the modified and unmodified reports and then cut up every header and sentence and then put it back together like a puzzle, to help me memorize where everything goes and also what changes for the modified reports. Those changes are really the bulk of it, as far as I can remember.

wazzzz up guys and gals… right before i confirmed my personal details for aud sec exam, i tried to write mneumonics and other stuff on the given note pads. The prometric chief approached my desk and said he need to take away those note pads. Will it affect my score? I Hope Not. Any similar experience?

Ladies and gentlemen who have taken AUD before July 20, when should we be expecting our grades? Target release date is August 4.

i haven't gotten to the part about paragraph and what it changes, so now i am worried. I'm 75% done with Gleim. And i'm gonna pass back through it bc there was so much i didn't quite get @ the beginning.

I'm doing well on MC but i know i don't understand the material bc i can barely picture the flow of the different items. I'm relying too much on elimination of answers. I'm not sure how to truly test my knowledge. I think i'm gonna go through all MC in gleim and read every possible explanation.

Any tips on not confusing yourself with the MC? I get so burned out from all the reading during my MC. trying to get together a system for key things i can write down and work out. So far writing down a journal entry for questions about cycles has helped
