I'm not sure because I have never taken an Audit exam, but Ninja is harder than Wiley. The released questions are not as hard as Ninja or Wiley in my opinion. Actually they seem easy.

    FAR - 93
    REG - 87
    BEC - 84!!!!
AUD - 99!!!!!! CPA exam complete.

Yea don't bank too much on the AICPA questions. They just ask basic stuff. I remember doing the AICPA qs the day before my last audit attempt. I was all pumped up after blazing through the released questions …. And I thought my exam went well as well until I got my scores :s

I think I'm going to go ahead and get the NINJA MCQs as well. Be prepared for the toughest questions.

    BEC - 88
    REG - 72, 78
    FAR - 75
    AUD - 64, 64, 3rd attempt!!!

Do you guys use the NINJA Way? I mean do all lectures or read the books then do all the questions after all of that? OR for do it what you program says lecture then questions, then lecture then questions?

I'm about 1/3rd of the way through audit, and am curious if this is the same for anyone else currently studying for audit. When I studied for FAR and did MCQs, I would read the question, and without looking at the answers, I would either remember how to get the answer or not. With audit it seems that I read the question and don't know right off the top of my head what the answer is without looking at the choices. However, I seem to be able to determine what the answer is just by recognizing the concept (if that makes any sense).

Is this a bad thing? I just don't want to be “guessing” and be getting 90% of them correct by luck or whatever else and be fooling myself thinking that I “know the answers”. If anyone could tell me if this is kind of how things go with this section that would be awesome.

@mjp4 i'm using gleim, and u have to make sure you do enough questions. i'd go through the first 2 mcs get 80+, do sims and get 80+. go back to it SAME day, just to review and get like 40% on MC

I know that Statements on Standards for Accounting and Review Services (SSARS) governs reviews/compilations for non-issuers but what is the deal with this in relation to public companies under PCAOB? Are reviews/compilations not allowed? A review requires independence so i feel it would be ok and i feel a compilation would be permissible as long as the auditor performing it does not also audit the financial statements.

Can anyone tell me where in the world the 10 GAAS are in the Becker book (general, fieldwork, and reporting)? I remember them from a class about a year ago but I don't see them anywhere…

@Ancel – So those apply to audit engagements? For some reason when I read A2 it made it seem as if the 10 GAAS were different than these. I thought from when I took advanced audit I remembered the mnemonic being something like “TIP POE blah blah blah” so I have been a little confused

I pretty sure they did away the traditional “10 GAAS Standards” with the recent clarity update. Per ninja notes the “TIP” and “PIE” are still useful in applying the principles of GAAS.

Hey guys, just got back from the exam. I Must admit I'm not feeling great about it. I got through each mcq ahead of time, got time to double check some things and the Sims still took me 2 hours. Overall we'll see, if I dont pass I know the Sim that screwed me the most.
