As a reminder – be careful about exam disclosure. You cannot divulge the “nature” of what you saw on your exams.

@Qlad I'm not a big fan of governmental, it seems like it's not covered well.

I think GAAS is for private businesses that need compliance audits.

And GAGAS is for government units that need compliance audits.

@Funtiks I feel CPAreviewquestions are fair. I usually get 95-100 on them.

    Funtiks@ Thanks by the way.

I dont know how you handle the cpareview questions.

Some of the things they ask are not mentioned in Becker at all…pisses me off

    example..

If all other factors specified in a sampling plan remain constant, changing the estimated occurrence rate from 3% to 5% would cause the required sample size to …

WTF is an occurence rate? in Becker its called deviation rate, am i just supposed to guess?

    FAR - 76*, 73, 85
    BEC - 69, 72, 78*, 80
    AUD - 72, 71, 90
    REG - 71, 74, 85

I usually use Wiley because it's very comprehensive. I have never used Becker, so I can't say if it is more comprehensive than Wiley or not, but cpareviewforfree questions are usually harder than the real exam, which is why I like them. They ask out of the box type questions. Just keep at it. Write down the explanation for what you get wrong.

Estimated Occurrence rate is another way of saying how many errors do we expect. If we go from 3 to 5%, we would increase the sample size. Ninja uses different terms Sampling factors too, but I get less caught up on the exact wording and just focus on the concept. Basically any time they use rate, it's probably attribute sampling, because Variable sampling you have dollar figures to measure against for tolerable misstatement and expected misstatement.

Just took the auditing exam, I'm crushed, Yesterday I took a practice exam and pulled 88% late in the day and today I only recognized about 5 questions/concepts from the exam. I had no clue what they were asking on one of the simulations. I just don't know what to do anymore with this. I feel that my knowledge should be enough to pass the exam, it is a crap shoot and luck on what kind of questions they ask.

So I think I burned myself out a bit yesterday. Today I got a bit of a headache, and just did a 30 question mcq and did absolutely horrible on it. I think that's my brain telling me to take a break, since I should be doing better.

I'm gonna break for two hours, see if I should go over somethings, but to be honest maybe it's best to just break til my test and just go over acronyms. I think I'm prepared, so why am I cramming.

Good luck everyone, I think I'm done studying :).
