Wiley really has a chapter that is 5 pages of reading. Why not just club it with something else? Just found it funny.

Does anyone think a study program can be done in 4 weeks? I am going to start AUD next week and sit for the exam July 5 which gives me 4 weeks…Is this practical? Going to study approx 4 hours per day.

    FAR - 73, 75 PASSED
    AUD - 74, 96
    BEC - 79
    REG - 89! Done. I'm a CPA!!

Four hours per day, eh? If you can do 8 each weekend day, it sounds doable.

    AUD - 75*, 88 done 5/14! (*exp)
    BEC - 74 , 77
    REG - 65 , 76 (10 point combooo!!)
    FAR - 69 , 75

Fayas – You need to think the SIM as Many MCQ's put together as one big question. The only way to prepare for the SIM is ensuring you know you concepts well and understanding them in a much deeper level.

Practice what you have as sample SIM's from your CPA review provider and also the ones AICPA has released in the past few years ( your CPA review provider should have copies on their website)

AUD is one subject that you can learn the material well enough and tackle it head one. I mean how many ways can they ask you the same concept?? So its not like REG where you get so many “surprise” or FAR that it is so vast your brain can't handle to know everything or BEC where its like playing a lottery game.

Try to understand the reasoning behind the testing or procedures etc and it will really help you in the SIM's

Lastly – I bought Gleim's SIM package for AUD and practiced all of them. For me that helped me know – do i know my concepts well and was I able to problem solve through these or not.

    @brainfarts/Insi, Hey man how's FAR?

You're using Roger yes? I'm finding a huge disconnect between what he's teaching vs the stuff I'm seeing in the WTB. Does it get better or what do you believe is the best way to approach Rogers AUD? I've had no problem with his teaching on the other sections, but I can't seem to get my head of what exactly he's trying to say in both the Internal Control and now Audit Evidence section.

Took the night off last night, now it's back to studying. Have two chapters left to read, sampling and auditing and technology, and then I'm working on the weak areas. Felt like the chapter on reviews and compilations was the easiest so far, got 92% first time through, but sampling got a 75% on the first set of 20 I did. I'll finish reading that chapter tonight and do the audit and tech chapter (5 pages) tomorrow. @Riceperson When do you sit in July?

    FAR - 93
    REG - 87
    BEC - 84!!!!

I'm planning on sitting sometime around the second or third Saturday in August. I'm using the wiley book, ninja mcq and notes. Anyone have any advice on how to study? I'm having trouble deciding how to get started.

@nyc I'm set to rake it on July 15. I'm going to spend another week on Audit Evidence until I move to the sampling section. 5 chapters to go, so far so good on planning the audit and ethical standards….more work needed on IC and evidence.
