Im retaking AUD in the first week of July after failing with a 73! I’ve planned for about 50 hours of prep. So I am getting into this fast track mode, doing and redoing MCQs, sims and mock exams. If someone is in a similar case, do join in here. We’ll probably be of some use to one another. Thanks.

krcpa- Im in as well…just applied for my NTS today. Hopefully im able to schedule an exam within the next two weeks. Im using Becker 2009 Material, and plan on redoing all the MCQ's and practice exams…This is going to be the third time attempting this section. I thought i had a fair chance at passing the second time around…Lets hope third times a charm!

I am in as well. Mailed in my re-application to the CA board of acty today… it's going to take almost 2 weeks for me to be able to schedule the exam. I don't know if there would be any spots open the first/second week of July… This is going to be my third attempt after failing with 68 and 73. I am very discouraged…

    Hey everyone!

I am scheduled to take AUD for the first time on July 1. I am using Becker for my study materials and I am not currently supplementing with any ther materials.

I currently have 53.5 hours logged and have been through all of Becker one time through (including supplemental questions, supplemental sims, and the first final exam). I am in the process of going back through each chapter, updating Becker's provided notes, and working all of the MC choice questions again (excluding the supplemental questions).

As of this moment in time, I am currently in Becker AUD 2, compilations and reviews.

I am hoping to log another 20-25 hours to put me at 75-80 hours total! I began studying June 8th.

    Lets get busy!!!

    REG: 5/26 - 90hrs (Pass) AUD: 7/1 - 86hrs (Pass)
    BEC: 7/22 - 72hrs (Pass) FAR: 8/31 - 56hrs (Wait)

I hope everyone's studies are progressing at an acceptable pace! I know how hard it can be to log some serious study time when the World Cup is on TV, the weather is great, and friends/family are calling to hang out!

I am starting to hit the wall with studying. Coffee isn't doing much to help anymore and I am having to shorten the study sessions because I begin zoning out much sooner. What works for me is just accepting that I can't learn anything else at the time. Forcing the material does no good. I put the book away and go to the gym/pool/driving range. Even two hours away from the material does wonders. I took the entire day off yesterday and actually slept in today! I logged 5.5 hours of study time today, putting me at 69:45 total!

As I stated in my previous post I sit for AUD on July 1. With my current calculations I will be somewhere in the 85 hour range of study time when I sit. This is actually 10 hours over my target time, which is very good.

I am in the middle of AUD 4 currently. My remaining schedule is something like this:

    Monday: Finish re-reading AUD4/update notes

Tuesday: Complete all AUD 4 MC questions. Re-read AUD 5 and update notes.

Wednesday: Complete all AUD 5 MCQ's. Review all AUD sims. Take Becker Final Exam 2.

Thursday: Wake up early, read through my notes once (should take three hours), eat a healthy breakfast, and take the exam.

We are in the homestretch people! FINISH STRONG!

    REG: 5/26 - 90hrs (Pass) AUD: 7/1 - 86hrs (Pass)
    BEC: 7/22 - 72hrs (Pass) FAR: 8/31 - 56hrs (Wait)

krcpa i'm in also… i take aud july 2nd… i have gone through all the mcq's probably a good 3-4 times so far. just went through aud 3 and 4 today. i'm not scoring as high as i would like, but i'm not so much worried on that, i'm more focused on if i am actually understanding what the question is asking… and if i can get that then i'm good on my answer choice. a good thing about becker aud is that there are so many questions it is difficult to memorize them so you have to understand the question.

if i were to put in the amount of hours i have studied for this, i would say a good 65 or so… i dont know if i can even count the hours because to me it doesnt make sense…. it doesnt matter how many hours just as long as they are efficient and productive.

i agree with idrathergolf… i took 2 hours away today and watched mythbusters, lol, and i came back and it felt like i was sitting down for the first time today… i just wish i had this much time everyday… working 50 hours a week doesnt help when preparing for the cpa exam.

    BEC: Done
    REG: Done
    AUD: Done
    FAR: Done

    I'M DONE!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
