@ msgforaparna – did you utilize the Research tab for every SIM?

@msgforaparna – I took audit three times and failed. I had comaprable to strong performance in mc but had weaker in sims all three times. Just dnt know what review course can help us to master sims. I have tried practising sims from gleim, wiley, lambers and cpa review for free.

Did anybody on this forum used matrix, kaplan or cpa excel for audit sims and passed. Sims in actual exam appear so weird. Haven't seen them in any of the review courses

@apbandj- No, I didnt use that. I guess it was my biggest mistake.

@DK- I think problem with us is the study pattern, might be we are not moving in a correct direction….

@ msgforaparna – Definitely try that next time. I got 3 SIMS (in addition to the actual research question) that I was able to look up the answers for in the research tab. When I first saw them, I was like WTF? But then when I did some key word searches, I found the info I needed. Best of luck to you!

Did anyone pass AUD using only Yeager? (I'm sure there are plenty of people I just need the encouragement)

    AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
    FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
    BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58

I did… but I think I already posted to you about Yaeger in another thread 😉 I would try them especially if you learn best by lectures. The way Gary emphasizes certain things just really stuck in my head, so much so that I could seriously hear him saying them while I was taking the exam. They are boring, but there's really no way around that. It's 19.5 hours of lectures – I tried to do 2 hours a day and knocked them out in less than 2 weeks.

This question is for anyone using Yaeger homestudy…

Why are the lectures only 20 hours for AUD but were 51 hours for FAR? That's a HUGE difference. I think in the PDF file that Jeff wrote on A71 he says AUD has been beefed up to be equally as difficult as FAR.

I plan on using Yaeger and Wiley Book/Test Bank. Any comments as to whether I should supplement with something else?

    FAR - 2012 - PASSED (YAEGER)
    AUD - 2012 - PASSED (YAEGER + NINJA NOTES)
    BEC - 2012 - PASSED (YAEGER + NINJA NOTES)
    REG - 2013 - PASSED (YAEGER + NINJA NOTES + NINJA AUDIO)

    ETHICS - 2013 - PASSED

DONE!!! Thank you A71 for all the support! Hiya!!!

    Need some study advice

I take this exam April 5. I'm using Becker live classes to review. I was wondering, what do you all recommend I take the time to memorize? I know the standard auditor's report is a must. Should I also take the time to memorize a management rep letter or an engagement letter? What advice do you all have for memorization?

What else should I do to help prepare for this?

    REG (2/24/12) - 89
    AUD (4/5/12) - 89
    FAR (5/31/12) - 91
    BEC (7/7/12) - 84

Does anyone have a study plan for audit? I’m using Becker/Wiley test bank. For BEC i would watch the lecture day 1, day 2 make flash cards and review them, and day 3 test myself by doing the questions. The audit material in Becker is so vast that it is taking several days to make flash cards, than I don’t have the time to review them.

I’m overwhelmed right now so any help to point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated, I’ve already pushed my test back 2 weeks 🙁

    BEC - 2/13 - 87
    Audit - 4-16 - 99
    Reg - 5-29 - 94
    Far- 8-13 - 97

I use becker self-study, final review, flash cards, wiley test bank, and I make my own flash cards using studyblue.com

Do a chapter by chapter!! make sure you understand why you are getting an answer right, and read all the explanation.

Audit may seem easy to some, but it was a challenge for me. It's not a matter of what answer is right, but rather…what is the best answer. Practicing MCQs is the best way to prepare for Audit!

    Good Luck:!)

greenli…I used Becker…I watched the lecture..took the mcq's and then went back over the text book and retook the questions…..I find that doing as many questions as possible helps….make sure you read and reread the choices..and the answers..figuring out how to eliminate choices..helps on the exam…good luck!
