I was just wondering if the 2012 ninja notes have alot of changes in comparison to the 2011 and also any other tips to help in my final review will b much appreciated! thanks

Okay, so I sat for Audit yesterday. I studied with Becker and Wiley Test Bank and both prepared me well for the MCQs. As for the simulations… NOTHING could have prepared me for these! I had 2-1/2 hours left do complete them and I used all that time. I am confident that I was able to secure a few points from the simulations, so my question is, will that be enough to help me pass if I did well on the MCQs? I will say that the simulations were harder than the ones I experienced in FAR. UGH!

    FAR: 80

@catlovergirl, you're making me nervous! Test is this Saturday for me. I've heard the SIMs for AUD are horrible… ehhh

    AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
    FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
    BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58

    Hi Peanut,

The sims are doable. It just took me awhile to do them. Plus, I was so nervous before the test that I could only choke down a Balance Bar and so I had a massive headache halfway through the sims. The MCQs were very easy, I only had to guess on about five of them. You should be fine! Use the Auth Lit tab as much as possible. I did and that helped. Good luck!!!!!

I think I'm going to try and avoid this forum as my test date nears. Positive thoughts, positive thoughts…

I have a question about timing after the AUD exam. I passed BEC last year the 2nd time around. Then I took a break that was way too long, and now I only have 1 year to pass the other 3 parts. I'm sitting for AUD for the first time on Feb 27. So my question is:

Should I start studying for FAR (since it's content is more closely related to AUD), which will take me a solid 12 weeks (I work full time) and, if I don't pass AUD, take a break from FAR to try to grab AUD quick on the re-take in the 2nd test window? Note, in this option, I wouldn't take FAR until the 3rd test window no matter what.

Or, should I study for REG next with the plan to sit for it in the 2nd test window (let's say end of April or first week of May), and easily have time to re-take AUD at the end of the second test window if I don't pass it on Feb 27?

My dilemma is really time and content management. I feel my chances to pass FAR may be greater directly after AUD because of the content. But FAR will take me a solid 12 weeks of studying, whereas REG should only take me 8 weeks on the study plan that works for me.

Can anyone offer me some helpful guidance here?

    BEC- 77 (lost credit...must retake)
    AUD- 64, 4/2/12
    FAR- ?
    REG- ?

@catlovergirl, Thanks! That makes me feel a lot better 😀 I used the research tab a ton in REG and that's what really helped me pass. I'll do the same for AUD.

@LKerch84, I'd put AUD & FAR together, they're more closely related. I don't really have any other guidance..

    AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
    FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
    BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58

Well my test is this Saturday and I have been going through the final exams and bombing… but when I go through the progress tests I kill it… I know it is not because I have been through those questions several times because half of them I do not remember… Really makes me think I am going to fail this one again as well… AAARRRGGGGGHHHH I really want this to be over. Hopefully the sims will save my butt:-)

@CPAStooge, are you talking about the two Becker final exams?

    AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
    FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
    BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58

@Peanut Yes, the two on Becker. I just can't imagine that I can suck that bad on the exams and do so well on the progress tests… 🙁

@LKerch84 I think you should not use your energy planning what you would do if you fail audit. You CAN pass on the first try. Plenty of people do it.

@ peanut: GOOD LUCK for saturday!! I'm sure you'll nail it, you sound totally prepared!!

@catlovergirl: To answer your question about the grading of sims. When I took AUD the first time, my score report showed “stronger” for MCQ. But I did horrible in SIMS and thus failed. I got a 65. So it's important to do good on sims. However, it sounds like you've secured enough points on SIMS to pass this and I'm sure you'll be fine!

    ps: I LOVE cats!!! 🙂
