This is kinda hard to put into words, but I'm just wondering if anyone else feels this way with Audit. Audit is only my 2nd section of the exam, but when I do the MCQ's I am not very certain of my answers. When I did the MCQ's while studying FAR, I was normally 99% sure the answer I chose was right (if I knew the material of course).

I did 2 sets of 30 MCQ's and missed 5 on the first one and 3 on the second. But out of those, I was 100% sure on only 4 questions. At least I am still getting most of them right, but it's depressing to not be more confident my answers are correct.

Did anyone else experience this? Will it get better after more studying, or is this just the nature of Audit?

@apbandj, based on my experience with taking audit and doing the MCQs these are usually 2 answers in every questions and you have to choose the BEST answer.

I was an external auditor for 10 plus years and i failed audit so it goes to show that even when u know the material you might over think an answer or eliminate an answer that is the correct answer. But with practice you will start choosing the right answers as you go along.

wish you all the best, i sit on thursday.

I am struggling with the multiple choice and tbs. It's not like studying for FAR when I can just memorize a process and crunch it on the calculator. I have to THINK…hard.

AUD seems like a big “be on your A-game on test day test”. As CashMoney said, you have to THINK about every question. Each question seems to have two answers that could be the correct one.

@apbandj I used to feel that way too, but I kept re-doing the MC's and reading all of the answer explanations unless I knew it for sure until I eventually just memorized a lot of it. And I passed after being unsure and failing the first time, so I guess hammering those MC's down even when I kept getting most (75%+) right was worth it.

    REG (7/7/11) 75
    FAR (7/28/11) 76
    BEC (8/27/11) 81
    AUD (10/15/11, 1/20/12) 63, 91

    DONE!!!

Thanks @ undeniabletwins and Tebow. I appreciate your feedback and observations.

@CashMoney – you hit the nail on the head with describing this section. With FAR, you either know it or you don't. It's not a whole lot of thinking involved.

I definitely learned my lesson from FAR about always going with my first instinct. I know of at least 2 questions that I chose an answer, thought about it some more and changed my answer. Then when I looked up the topics in the book after the exam, the first answer I had marked was the right one.

@apbandj I feel the exact same way. But what gets me is the 5,600 mneumonics (I'm using Roger). I like Roger and all but I need a mneumonic to remember the mneumonics!

I think my test this month is going to be for practice only. My NTS expires in March so I'm forced to take it this month and I'm only just starting the A3 lectures tomorrow. Eye yi yi.
