    @Maxx,

    I just took it yesterday. I got a : 76,76, 63. I crashed and burned on the third testlet. I got hammered by the “least likely or except for” type questions. Dumb mistakes. I would say that your score is really good. IMO the Becker Final Exams are such a confidence buster. I debate taking them, but I felt pretty good on the first two testlets, I was surprised I didn't score higher.

    When are you sitting?

    @yankee: I am sitting on Sunday 22nd Jan but problem is when i take test on “Wiley CPA e prep” (don't know this is different than Wiley online test) score 76 and 79 .and I agree that when you score in 70s in becker final exam is good to go for Real Exam. As I remembered i took test for FAR and Reg in becker Final Exam score average 76 and 77 respectively and got 84 and 88 in Actual exam last window. I hope this trends continue for auditing because i have not taken any Single course in Audit and I spent entire Two weeks to figure out “AUDIT PROCESS” I feel this section difficult.

    And good luck to you for Your Auditing!!!I hope you can crack this time.

    I keep scoring 80% in Wiley (without sims) and score lower on the Becker Final Exams. When I do the progress tests/simulated exams in Becker I am hitting 80%. I just did the AICPA exam and did well. It doesn't seem that hard, the sims were fairly easy to what I have seen in the past. Have you done it yet?

    I sit this Wednesday and was hoping that my scores would be in the mid 80's –I think that would make me feel much better. Although for me, the sims are my hurdle. I scored stronger in mcq's and weaker in sims. So, today I am pracitising sims.

    Good luck with your studying…seems like you are on a good path. I go right to REG after this….is Audit your last exam? I can't wait for this to be over.

    looks like a good plan! I am working on sims today…and it (I) sucks! I go on Wednesday so here's hoping I can nail those sims. A little Lady Luck on those sims wouldn't be bad either!

    are you using Wiley or Becker? I can't remember…and too lazy to go back and read the other posts 😉

    have a great Sunday.

    i'm using Wiley online test bank.

    Good luck on Wednesday, don't forget the red panties!!

    Also, do you or anybody else have any advice on how to tackle tickmark simulations? They kick my rear every single time.

    definitely wearing those red panties 😉

    I am actually working on a sim on tickmarks now. Not my strongest suit, so I can't help ya there. Have you done the ones that are in Wiley? That is the one I am working on, Long Term Debt. I was thinking of paying the $9.99 and getting the cpareviewforfree sims testbank. My Gleim Sim wizard isn't working right, so I wanted to get another source.

    Yankee, best of luck I hope you get lucky and get the easier version of the sims that does not require journal entries etc..

    from what I can see , it seems like there are two version of the exam. If you get the test that doesn't require journal entries , you are more likely to pass.

    also , from my experience , I think the becker questions are more likely to show up on the exam, so I would just do those if I were you especially if you are short on time and your exam is coming up.

    And now that I think about it , I still can't believe I failed audit last time after scoring a “stronger” on every MC topic last time.

    anyways, moral of the story : hope we are on the right side of the coin with this version of the exam.

    Best of Luck!

    @bkkguru

    I had almost the same exact score report! You are right, let's get on the “right” side of the sims this time. I actually would love a journal entry sim–those are good for me. It is those sims written in Swahili that get me 🙂 I will do some Becker tests today–thanks for the advice.

    Best of luck with Audit, kick some Audit @ss!

    BTW what is “sdsaidjaisdasdj)” Just curious….

    @Yankee: I totally agree with Becker final exams being a confidence booster. I think those things are tough. I only did the first one and scored a 76% minus the sims. I did much better on the Progress Test.

    With that said, I took the exam on Friday the 13th and thought it was pretty straight forward. I did spend over 200 hours on it though(Becker, Wiley MCQ, Ninja Notes), which amazes me how a lot get by with less than 100. I guess 12 years removed from college has me playing catch up. But, I think I got the luck of the draw because a.) I had the same exact question twice and b.) I was able to use the research tab to answer an entire simulation.

    I read on here a lot that that happens to people and was wondering when it would ever happen to me. Looks like I'll have to schedule my FAR retake on April 13th.

    I cruised through the 90 MCQ in 90 minutes and used the remaining 2.5 hours on the sims. I used the entire time to double and triple check my work. We'll see.

    B – 81

    A – waiting for results

    R – 70

    F – 69

    Taking the exam on Friday. Last time I didn't study nearly enough because I was lazy so hopefully the actual effort I put in this time will help. Does anyone have good advice on how to study for the Simulations? With the other three I just stuck with doing more MC's to master all the concepts since they seem so random compared to the few they have as examples in Becker. I know that leaving a lot of time to look in the research tab seems to help but any other tips would be appreciated.

    REG (7/7/11) 75
    FAR (7/28/11) 76
    BEC (8/27/11) 81
    AUD (10/15/11, 1/20/12) 63, 91

    DONE!!!

    its a way of saying WTF, can't believe it!! using your keyboard.

    so when something bad happens, you just press random buttons on the keyboard out of frustration and anger.

    anyways, best of luck !

    Please explain if possible:

    ~~~
    A material weakness that exists at year end may result in what type of audit opinion when conducting an audit of a public company’s internal control?
    Qualified Adverse
    A.Yes Yes
    B.Yes No
    C.No Yes
    D.No No
    A. A.
    B. B.
    C. C.
    D. D.
    Answer B is incorrect both because a qualified opinion is not appropriate and because an adverse opinion is appropriate.
    ~~~

    Does scope limitation have nothing to do with IC in this situation?

    and another one please. wouldnt the discovery of understatement of sales be an existence assertion thereby having to go from docs to source? if thats the case, wouldnt the auditor have to vouch from the sales invoices to the shipping docs to prove existence of sales? going from the shipping docs to sales invoices proves the completeness of the transaction which is tracing. i'm so confused now =/

    ~~~
    If the objective of an auditor’s test of details is to detect a possible understatement of sales, the auditor most likely would trace transactions from the
    A. Sales invoices to the shipping documents.
    B. Cash receipts journal to the sales journal.
    C. Shipping documents to the sales invoices.
    D. Sales journal to the cash receipts journal.
    Answer C is correct. The requirement is to identify the best audit procedure to detect a possible understatement of sales. Answer C is correct because tracing from shipping documents to sales invoices will reveal whether the items shipped (and presumably sold) have been recorded, as evidenced by the existence of sales invoices.
