    I am ready to get this over with!! I was studying last night and when I felt like quitting and just watching TV I kept thinking how close I am to the finish line and to not screw it up now!

    Last night I finished answering all 900+ questions in the Wiley test bank. I have 2.5 weeks of just pounding out MCQs and making sure I understand the concepts behind them, and reading my NINJA notes.

    @RedRage00 — I kick my self every day for having to retake this exam.

    1) its the only exam I took at 8:00 am

    2) this was the second exam I took and I still had not received my score for the first exam so I had nothing to benchmark my study techniques to.

    3) and I think this is the most relevant answer of them all: AUD was the only exam I did not use becker final review for.

    So now I have learned my lessons and am confident about the exam, and have ordered the final review. Ready to be done!!

    BEC - 81 11/30/11 Praise God
    FAR - 84 7/11/11
    AUD -70,64,72, IM DONE!! 90 7/5/12
    REG - 84 10/07/11

    Hi!

    Long time taker, and now have 1 more test left (that I passed over 18 months ago) which happens to be Audit. taking it end of January, when my BEC credit will expire and to be honest, havent studied/had time yet.

    I've been using Wiley/Yaeger but really can't see myself springing for the homestudy course again as its over $500 and I already have the 2012 wiley AUd book. I have the online testbank, which may only have 2011 and older questions, and all the old dvds, handouts.

    my concern is that with all this “old” review material, i will not be allowing myself to be fully prepared for the exam in January. I saw the Ninja notes and thought that might be a nice replacement for the handout i get from Yaeger, but then also worried about the online testbank and what years it has.

    so my question is, what would be the best way for me to prepare for the exam, considering ive used the homestudy dvds, handout,online testbank and textbook in the past? Should I spring for the whole homestudy (I wont have the time to watch all the dvds and properly prepare most likely) or just get the ninja notes, and/or get some brands new testbank software?

    i know these are more personal questions usually, but I figured Id ask the forum. Sorry for the length and I appreciate any and all responses.

    AUD 83 2/10 (lost credit), retaking 1/31/12
    BEC 83 8/10
    REG 75 3/11
    FAR 76 11/11

    I have been taking this thing since 2008...

    @MACPAhopeful,

    GET NINJA, for my second time taking Audit, Ninja was the only resource that I looked at everyday until my test day, I used Becker and Wiley Book for more MCQs, but I didn't really read the book or listen to all the lectures again. I hate reading the book and Ninja just outline things that are important, I like Ninja because it tells you what you need to know and no more.

    And even if you like to read book, I still think that Ninja is a great review material to look at the day before you take the test.

    Good Luck !! 🙂

    WOw thank you for that quick, perfect response! I thought my jumbled up post would never get understood haha.

    Yeah I passed it way back in 2010, so I am not sure how familiar I am with it, so the book might help there. I think I'll just order the NInja Notes,a nd if i need more questions, ill get them. I use to do audit at big 4, until 08, so its been a few years (I'm in tax now), but I'm hoping it all comes back to me. I just want to be done, I just can't allow ANOTHER credit to expire.

    Thanks again!

    edit: just bought them, you should get a commission for the sale haha

    Does anybody know, how many points are allocated for each research in the simulation?

    and sometimes, there are two researches?

    I forgot how much I hate transaction cycles…….UGH.

    @cpa_ca

    sometimes you will get two research questions, it just depends. In terms of how many points, I don't have a clue, and I am not sure if that info is available–sorry!

    I'll have my iPhone with my ninja notes out during the Christmas family visit this weekend 🙂

    @RedRage

    A5 is Becker's last section. Also, how have you prepared for the sims in your prior sections? I took Reg last section and passed and looked at maybe two sims. I'm not even sure if I am going to do any for Audit.

    DONE!

    I pretty much did the same thing MFCPA. I've taken Jeff's advice for all my exams and focused on learning the material through MCQs. For REG I think I played with ONE research SIM just to remember how to research LOL! Other than that I didn't study SIMS at all for REG and scored “Stronger” on SIMS on my score report. I'll probably play with 1 or 2 in AUD as well before my testing date.

    @RedRage

    A5 is Becker….Audit Sampling, Govt Audit, etc. I have to review PPS, that really got me. Those two days off really drained my brain!!

    I barely looked at sims for BEC and FAR–mostly because of the sentiment on this site. But for REG and AUD, I totally reviewed every sim in Becker and Wiley –and go figure, I failed both exams because of the sims!!! UGH.
