I took AUD yesterday and used becker. The MCQ were about the same the whole test but my sims were ungodly difficult. I did all of becker's sims multiple times and let's just say much like reg the sims were from left field. Here's to praying i got a 75+

    BEC - 79
    FAR - 81
    REG - 87
    AUD - 70, Retake January 2012

I also took AUD yesterday and felt the same way as many here. MCQs were straight forward, minus like 2 of them. The SIMS, however, were left field…

    All I pray for is a 75!

so sorry that your experience was crappy. I have to agree the sims are insane. I am not hopeful for scores next week. I felt the same way on the sims for Audit as I did for REG, and well, you know how that went. I was weaker in sims, so I am not feeling good about that.

I have scheduled REg for Jan 14–have you set a date yet? I really hope that we scrape by Audit ! Lots of praying till then. 🙂

Hey all. Just took Audit this morning. I feel very good about it, better than any of the other 3 tests. Let me know if you have any questions. I used Becker. This hopefully was the last CPA exam i'll ever take. Good luck to you all!

    BEC - 88
    AUD - November 2011
    REG - 86

    @chrystie

i didnt mean to offend you when i said that, so if i did i do apologize

    @yankee

i just got my california approval yesterday, so i already selected reg and far, but i couldnt select aud again because it is blocked at the moment… lame IMO. i'm sorry to hear about your result for reg… next time we will take it out… i was weaker on the sims also, but i know exactly why… stupid idiotic mistakes put me there. i should be able to schedule by the end of the week, i'm shooting for as early in jan as possible for REG and maybe a week after that for AUD, and then hit it hard for FAR at the end of FEB.

    BEC: Done
    REG: Done
    AUD: Done
    FAR: Done

    I'M DONE!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I took AUD yesterday. I will say the sims are harder now than they were in 2009 (when i took it before/passed).

Also… some of my sims were really out of left field and for all except one I was able to use the research function to get exactly what I needed… hopefully nobody on this forum will need that tidbit of info b/c we will all have passed this go 'round. but if not… keep that in mind next time!

I did leave some comments in the final survey you have to fill out before you leave… I felt that there was stuff on the sims that belonged in a different portion of the exam and not Audit. I'd say more but i'm not sure how much you can/can't say on this forum about the test itself.

    REG - 81
    FAR - 79
    AUD - 94
    BEC - OCT 15

hahaha… I guess I should also add that for the 1 simulation that belongs in FAR and not AUD… I saved it for last and by the time I got part of the way thru it (after dusting off the cobwebs of the crap I learned in college relating to this stuff)… I did what I knew and since I didn't have a clue… I just picked some random crap for an answer and left the exam. 🙂

I think I passed it in any case.

Oh…and I studied using Becker. IMO… for all CPA Exam sections when using Becker… they emphasize the wrong stuff. So you're better off trying to learn it all.

    REG - 81
    FAR - 79
    AUD - 94
    BEC - OCT 15

Sorry! Maybe I'm out of date here. I just have the feeling that not everyone of us taking AUD even on the same day gets the same questions. My guess is that the test bank for each testing window probably contain a few thousands of questions, and so every candidate gets a separate set of question, randomly selected by the computer. And so if you're lucky you get the questions that of the areas you are familiar with, if you're not, you're doomed, like I probably am for AUD.

I was very comfortable with REG. Pretty much knew things in and out on whatever the Becker lectures covered. But I remember there were at least about 10 questions I had no idea about, or from the supplemental reading areas that Peter Olinto suggested “read it through once, what sticks sticks”… I scored 81, so I'm pretty sure that I bombed those questions.

I took audit today for the third time. First time I got a 68, second a 74 grrr and today it was a train wreck. I used Becker's home study course and passed FAR, REG and BEC on the first try, but this AUD is killing me. I have to pass before the end of February or I lose FAR and don't know what to do. My Becker expired, but I still have the book and I also bought the Wiley test bank from this site. I'm getting high 80's using Wiley then when I got to the test it was so different from what it was the first two times I took it.

Someone tell me if I am wrong, but it seems AUD is geared toward someone working as a staff accountant in a firm that is doing audits. I am not working in accounting so have zero actual experience with it. There are a couple of concepts I don't quite understand and can't seem to learn. (They were tested heavily on today's exam) I think they are the sort of things you don't really learn until you are doing them and that is very depressing to me. Basically I have one more chance and don't know what to do to get over this hump.

    FAR 79

    BEC 80

    REG 81

    AUD 68, 74-11/30/2011

any exam changes in 2012? Do I need to contact Becker to get the new book for 2012 ? I guess I'm not sure if I should worry about it. I am taking AUD beginning of Jan so not sure if this is even an issue…but still worth asking 🙂
