yankeeaccountantParticipantJust now catching up on all the posts, just read your post, you are so sweet!
I have totally ducked out since Audit. I really hope you passed (me too!). Audit is such a tough exam( at least to me) to know how you did. Sounds like we had similar sims experience! I really feel like they are testing us in the application of the material on the sims. They really get you to think on them. Totally glad it is over, but now having that after the exam panic, ” did I study enough?” ” could I have studied more?” I haven't looked at my REG score. I will on MOnday. I am not feeling good about it. I hate that feeling.
Totally weird that your mom and I have the same name! I am probably close to your mom's age too! How wild. I hope you had a good holiday and had a chance to catch your breath. How are you feeling?
Best of luck on your next exam, is it BEC? Can't remember! I am hoping that I am done, but not hopeful. It would be so great to have this be over though!
Definitely will see you on the forum waiting on Audit around the 7th!! So glad this will be rather quick. Let's hope the AICPA is nice and give it to us early!
Take care 🙂

tryinghardCPAParticipant@yankeeaccountant..I'll take a look at it. Thanks…What is your assessment about Becket audit review? Have you used it too…It is my last sections supposedly and ny FAR credit will expire on 4/1/11, so I only have two chances to pass audit before my FAR credit expires..Thank you and good luck to you too!

yes ma'am… tomorrow is game time for sure.. i'm really hoping i can do well and put this one behind me. yea for sure, nobody can say i didnt put the time into studying for this one lol but then again putting in the time isn't the only thing needed to pass these exams.. a little luck would help too sometimes =/
today has been pretty relaxing so far, i'm taking my test about 80 miles from where i live so i am staying with my uncle tonight and hitting it in the morning.. i like this testing facility better than the one closer to where i reside. took a nice drive along pacific coast highway and now i'm going to hit the books for 3-4 hours, then go watch immortals to see some terrible action and hopefully that will relax me enough for tomorrow lol.
the exam is at 12 noon so i can sleep in and get my beauty sleep, unlike for reg where i didnt sleep and had an 8 am @$$ kicking.

Yvonne570MemberHopeful, I really struggled with REG. Perhaps it was because it was my 3rd exam in a row – 3 tests in 1 window syndrome. Brain must have been so fried. I hope that's the case. I listened to Becker lectures, practiced and scored so low on the practice. Like the lectures did not stay with me. Not sure. Will need to focus on BEC for now then revisit REG.

i wouldnt doubt it one bit if it was 3 tests in 1 window syndrome, i'm doing 2 tests in one month and i'm ready to melt… i'm not freaking out the way i think i should be, i'm just more ready to take this thing and see how it goes.
any advice for me tomorrow on aud?

Yvonne570MemberMake sure you type the reports to help you remember the verbiage of each? Pretend like you are doing the reports. Really helped me.

Yvonne570MemberOh and good luck:) If you have time, perhaps do a progress test in Becker see if there's any last minute areas to skim through.

i know the standard unquali report and the compilation report inside and out pretty much. i havent had a chance to memorize the review report, i plan to do that tomorrow morning, those are going in pretty easy thank god. i dont have becker, but i am going over some more wiley mcq's in the area's i feel weak in, i.e. audit sampling, auditing with technology. i did almost 32 sims yesterday so i hope that helped a little. i cant figure out still on the research what they are asking for, QC, AU, etc. i am going to do a quick review of the cycle tonight also, but i think i got that for the most part… i think =/

AnonymousInactiveI passed REG this window at 81 using Becker alone. Though, for all the questions I did not get were from the sup. reading that I went through briefly or didn't bother to read. I hate reading, so watching lectures and working on MCQs are all I do. I think it depends on what works for you. I learn better with watching and listening :-), my husband prefers reading.
@Yvonne 570 & hopeful_CPA: You guys are amazing studying for more than 1 section per month/per window. I'm taking 3-4 months preparing each, and all I could do was watching lectures and MCQs 1.5 times, and never feel ready.
I want to be done by the end of this year SOOO bad! my kids are getting afraid of my taking off at night to the library. It's become a threat statement to my 3 yrs old daughter when she gets naughty or fights “mommy's gonna go to the library”; she would stop her act.
