I am still waiting for my score, so I guess I may not be that reliable at this point, but…. 🙂

I studied for audit in two groups. I watched all the lectures/read (err, skimmed? that **** is boring!) for A1-A3, and then did all the MCQ, supplemental questions, and sims for A1-A3. Then I did the same for A4-A5. I think it worked pretty well, especially since I feel like a lot of the material is repetitive. Good luck!

Hi all – I'm on R3 (Becker), and AUD is scheduled on 11/29. I'm just watching Tim Gearty's lectures right now and wish he were Peter Olinto LOL. I don't know it's just me or what but only Peter can keep me awake after a long day with 2 kids, Tim's lectures put me to sleep 😛

Even I'm watching the lectures, I think I get about 10% out of the lectures…so doing MTC is the only way for me.

18 days to AUD, and I don't think I'm prepared. I do well on MTC, though I hardly remember any details from the material (book, lecture). No time to skim book, and also because I have the 2010 edition.

Anyone had good experience with Wiley's questions? I purchased a 1 year access but hardly look at Wiley because I don't even have time to finish Becker.

CPAexammom, I like to use Willey online test bank while I am studying to keep the material I have already studied fresh. You can create custom tests, choose the number of questions and sims you want to add, choose which sections to pull the material from. Also you can choose if you want to have it pull from all the questions, from ones you have never seen, or only ones you have missed. I try to do a 25 q testlet daily or every other day if possible. Then towards the end, I just do tons of 25 q testlets.

I used Becker and Wiley test bank. The week before the test I left Becker to a side, and did like 2 simulated tests per day on Wiley. The SIMS on the test bank are great example. I also found the MCQ's on the exam very similar to both Becker and Wiley.

I am wife and a mom, feeling the same way (leaving the family behind on weekends to go to the library). Not spending time with the family, but the time will come for those great vacations after we pass all 4 parts.

AHHHH…take AUD tomorrow morning bright and early! I've been getting mid 80's on my practice tests…hopefully that means I'm good to go. What do you guys think? Can't wait for tomorrow at around 12:30!! 🙂

Wow, that sounds great. I would be feeling pretty good going into tomorrow. Did you use Becker, Wiley?? did you practice sims at all?

@yankeeaccountant – I've been using the Becker self study. Hopefully it's worth the investment, but I know I wouldn't even have a chance without it!

Oh thanks Marivy22, and Bnrhilton! I'm gonna use Wiley test bank in addition to Becker. I don't think I have time to do the supplemental questions on Becker considering the time I have left. I took a long time for each section, 4 months on average, so I will be running out of time soon before the first section expires.

It's funny when you said “prepared for the big bad wolf…” I felt the same way with all the sections I took too. We spent so much time on some topics did not get tested, though there were questions I had no idea of.

This study is so exhausting…but yes! think about the vacations and parties when I'm done…this Thanksgiving I am not going to roast a turkey…my AUD is on the Nov 29th, I won't have time for that 🙂

@ bnlacombe: you can take the ethics anytime before, during, or after passing the CPA. It took me less than 2 hours total to take and pass. If you get the cd, you can use the search function to find the answers even faster.
