I'm going to start studying for Audit soon – as soon as I receive the 2012 Becker materials in the mail. Just out of curiosity, how many lectures/chapters are there in the Becker Audit materials?

i am waiting for my audit review material from roger to come in. i also got the cram, do you guys think this will be sufficient to pass this thing? i am starting tomorrow 11/7, my exam is on the 28th.

We are both in the same boat, even the amount of time to study. I sure hope it is enough. For me, this is my third time, so I am not super concerned about the time frame, since some things have stuck in my head. But still last night it dawned on me that I only had 16 days left to study. OIY! I did this for FAR and passed so I am hoping it works again. I am going to bump up Jeff's thread on 20 days to study for an exam just in case. Best of luck to you.

BTW I am really liking Roger. He is so detailed. I wish I had found him sooner. He was an auditor when he was in the workworld, so I feel like his lectures are full of detail.

Well friends, I just got out of AUD. I used Becker and NINJA notes to prepare, and a little bit of CPAreviewforfree.com while at work. The MCQ were very representative of that in Becker, I felt like I only had a few curveballs. The SIMS were tough! 🙁 I had one research SIM that took me a solid 20-25 minutes to find the answer, but I'm pretty sure I nailed it. I had another SIM that was verrrrrrrrrry FAR, a complicated journal entry. The rest of the SIMS, though, were a lot like SIMS on Becker, but maybe a little tougher. Here's to waiting for my last score!

Sounds like you had a good experience–hoping you get a passing score and be done with this craziness!!!

I have about 16 days left to study and am scrambling. I have alot to get done this week. I am going to take 3 days to rewrite notes, and then back to mcq's and some sims. .

Did you practice alot of sims for this one? This is my third time taking it……I really have to get over this one!!

@yankee, Thanks! I hope I'm done too!!! I practiced all the SIMS available in the regular Becker course, and a couple from the final review. Honestly, I don't think that the practice really helped that much though. The ones that I saw on my exam that were similar to Becker is all stuff that you learn through multiple choice too, ya know? As for the couple I had that threw me off, there's just no way practicing more SIMS would've helped me. I think focusing on rewriting notes and doing as many MCQ really is the best way to do it.

@erincritchfield is it worth studying the “supplemental questions” that becker course offers? there is over 100 supplemental questions for chapter 4 and they are pretty tough! your advice greatly appreciated 🙂

by the way, i also have the final review becker material and this is helping me a bit more. i'm scheduled to take the AUD exam this coming thursday. hope to pass on my 3rd attempt 🙂

@macistna,

I thought it was helpful to study the supplemental questions, just because some of the information in them is not in the regular MC, and it all has a chance of being tested on the exam! I wouldn't worry about doing them multiple times, but going through them once or so and at least learning from your mistakes would be a good idea, in my opinion. Best of luck to you on Thursday!!!!
