yankeeaccountantParticipantgood luck Riding the Wave, sounds like you did well.
I am sitting on Aug 30th. I will have had 23 days in total for studying. So far, I have done about 600 mcq's and have done less than stellar. I intend to do all the 992 mcq's in Wiley and then do the supplemental for each section on Becker. I hope this time it works. I took this exam last window for the first time and thought I did well, only to find out it was the only fail I had out of 3 exams. For me, the wording is tricky. Still struggling with the A4 and A5 chapters in Becker.
Hitting the books hard this week!
Have a great week studying.

NYCPA34MemberI just took Audit on Saturday and I feel pretty good about it. I finished the exam in a little over two hours and I took my time on each question. The multiple choice were very similar to Becker, and i actually had a few that i have seen before in the review material. The simulations were actually pretty straightforward except for one, that was basically off the wall, but I feel confident about my answers.
The only issue i have with the exam is that i don't feel like the multiple choice got harder. This worries me a lot. Is there a way to tell that the MC questions were getting tougher?

Marivy22ParticipantJust wanted to share with you my experience on AUD this morning….
MCQ’s – with the exception of 4/5 of them were covered in Becker’s material or Wiley’s test bank. Hopefully, those 4/5 are from the 15 that don't count….
Simulations – Oh well!!! Not that bad, but for one of them I was like what the *&^%$
For those of you sitting for audit soon, I have the same recommendation as everyone else do lots of MCQ’s.
Next FAR Oct-10 🙂
Done 😉

Haha yea I actually do have a lot of free time for studying. I graduated college in May, and since I don't start work until September I decided to dedicate the entire summer to this exam. It's been a very painful summer. If I would have known it would have been like this I would have definately taken only two exams this Summer. I'm looking forward to Septemeber, I really want to get these scores back. It's kind of ridiculous that we have to wait so long for grades.
Good luck with the rest of your exams!

I guess I have the exact same feeling as you, I did really good on multiple choice and i reviewed every single one and took my time a lot on each mcq testlets, but when i got to the TBS i got so confused, and i started with the research tabs ( I had 2), and two of the other questions were fine, but the other 3 questions were hard, im hoping one of them is the one that doesnt count… lets see what happens when we get our grades back!
good luck to everyone 🙂

RustyGatorParticipantI'm going to repeat what I said in a subthread:
I got a 73 during Qtr 2 but really wasn't prepared since I took it 2 weeks after tax season. I studied my butt off for this Qtr 3 one since it's the last exam I need to pass.
When I took it during Qtr 2 it was weird because the entire test seemed fairly easy and straight forward. My MC sections didn't get harder but I felt like I killed the Sims. Looking back, I didn't master the material and probably missed a lot of MCs that I should have gotten.
This time around I knew the material from Becker cold. MCs definitely got harder for me throughout the test. So that's a good sign. But like some of you have said, the Sims were pretty crazy. I only got 1 research question this time and almost every sim was challenging (got 2 research in Qtr 2). I'm seriously starting to think that the Sims are harder if you do better on the MCs (but I could be wrong). They're obviously making a lot of changes to this exam and they have the technology to do so, so why not??

good luck passing the last exam, and I was reading on the NASBA that the simulation is set before you open the exam, but the multiple choice changes depending in ur answers, I think they would mention that or update us if they change the simulation like they do to the multiple choice.. thats what i think, but as you said, u never know! can't wait till september!

yankeeaccountantParticipantHey guys,
I am testing on 8/30, my second try at this. Since I just took this last window, I am hammering mcq's and rereading notes, and writing notes on missed questions.
I did a practice test on Wiley (w/o sims) and scored a 68%. Not great. Obviously some chunks of info are missing. Going to review all notes from each Becker chapter and then do mcq's in Becker and Wiley.
How are you guys doing?

anonymousParticipantI've been doing really good in Becker so far on MCQ (80s and a few 90s and 70s) but now I've gotten to audit 4 and I'm struggling. I think its hard for me because I don't have that much work experience (in accounting, anyways) so I'm not familiar with lots of the terms they use. I think I'm doing better now, but I'm still behind on my schedule. Will Audit 5 be better? I saw it is under 3 hours of lecture, so I'm hoping it will be easy.

All I can say is oh boy because Qtr 2 MC experience sounds quite similar to mine however i don't know what to think of the tbs (so who knows) but to say u didn't feel prepared a 73 was pretty close hope u got that 75 or better this time around
