Hi Guys! I am getting ready for AUD and am a tax guy. I took one Audit class in undergrad and haven't touched it since. I have spent over 100 hrs with Becker and Wiley and don't seem to be grasping everything needed. I have been taking countless MCQ tests on CPAreviewforfree.com and get 85-95 every time. How accurate are those tests? I am worried that those might be too easy or not covering enough range. I can't figure out why I do poorly on the Wiley test bank but ok with the online tests….. Any experiences would be great!

I just finished taking Becker Final exam 1 for AUD and these were my test results.

MC:

80,93,80

SIMS:

60,80,50,80,75,60,0(research)

I did this in little over and hour and did not go back to look at my questions. Do you guys think this would be passing?

I am taking audit tomorrow, I feel prepared but am still worried. After audit tomorrow should I start studying for the next section or wait for my grade this way if I don't pass I can go right back into studying for audit? Any advise is appreciated.

Finally done!

This is my 2nd attempt at the exam, I had two parts passed (failed many) and I stupidly quit, big mistake. Now I'm back and with a vengeance!

@LSYNC I would move on. By the time you get your grade you will be half way ready for your next exam. This exam is all about short term memory. If you don't study anything until your grades are in, you will forget details you studied for AUD anyways… It's just my opinion…..

@ LSNYC, I agree with @RARCPA, move on to the next section. Everytime I left the testing center I was almost 90-100% sure for REG that I failed, and about 99.9% sure for BEC.. But you know what? I passed both. So had I wasted time re-studying it would of been a waste, and very inefficient. Just go there and be positive 🙂

@LSNYC Move on! Don't even reopen the book and see if you got that one question right or wrong. I know it is tempting to do so but it is just beating yourself up. Be confident that you passed!

Audit in one week and seem to be getting 80's and 90's on the homework/practice problems. also focusing heavily on mc, slacking on sims. I'm going to try to pull it together this week– I have unlimited free time so I can't make any excuses for getting a 74.

Found out yesterday I got a 91 FAR (my first section, late july). definitely studied more for that one and those topics are starting to look fun now. audit is so vague.

Maybe REG will be better?

Where is the form for “things I can't wait to do with free time”?

IF its Debt compliance then credit risk increases but what happened to Inherent risk, Control risk and detection risk?. Is inherent risk increase, control risk has no effect and detection risk decreases. Thats my point of view, is it right? and How would you consider Control risk, any examples of control risk increase or decrease? I didnot find anything in the Becker book..and also if Inherent risk increases then always control risk increase? or sometimes control decrease or has no effect? I am having difficult time with this concept and any help would be appreciated.

Taking audit tomorrow… Haven't done nearly enough MCQ and SIMS as I should have (did go through 85% of the Wiley TestBook MCQ and all of the SIMS once), was feeling confident before but after spending some more time with the Wiley TestBank I'm lukewarm at best…

I don't think any exam topic will catch me off guard but I'm not sure if I'll be able to retain all of these minute details…

Where can I find these?

I'm using NINJA Audio, NINJA Notes, and Wiley Test Bank.
