I was thinking to stop studying AUD for now and move to new one, however, I decided to take AUD again in the beginning of October after reading your post.

I am taking FAR exam in two weeks though (last time 65…)

I just hit section A4 in my Becker Study program and it is killing me. This section is making me wish I could go back to studying for FAR, and I never thought I'd say that again. At least in FAR everything was up front and the if you knew the journal entries and calculations it was easy, but for Audit the questions are starting to get so convoluted and hard to follow that it's just pissing me off.

@mookey9, would you recommend buying the SIMS from cpareviewforfree.com? I tried the MCQs for FAR and they were alright. You knocked out AUD with that 91, and I'm doing my final review (AUD in a couple days) and would like to get a passing score! Thanks.

@Spongfunk: I'm with you, I hated studying for Audit. Nothing tangible, all just blabla. Really hope I passed this one but could be a close call.

I'm rereading the Becker AUD textbook (lecture notes) for a third time. I do 20 MCQ's after each section (5 sections). I'm scoring 70-90% on the MCQ's. Is this a good strategy? I have 2 more weeks till the test. Should I just do MCQ's and/or sims instead of rereading the textbooks?

@spongfunk I couldn't agree with you more about A4. For each question I have trouble eliminating more than one answer. It always seems like more than one could be right. Does anyone have any tips for dealing with this section?

taking my test 8/29 and im pretty decent in MCQ, but not great in SIMs, if i fail it will probably because of SIMS, any advice on how to study for the sims??.. im doing the sims on becker but besides that how else can i improve? I feel like for a lot of the sims you need more knowledge than just AUD, it seems to incorporate a lot of FAR as well. any advice?… ( i did well on MCQ on BEC but failed bc of WC, partly i feel cause i was just focusing on MCQ and not on WC, i dont want that to happen again)

trying to find tips (even tho too late, test tomorrow!) and think the main tip i find helpful is to ask myself what is the audit implication to the question. sometimes multiple answers are right, but only one really deals about the audit procedures, etc. anyway, what do i know, i am failing the becker final exams.

just going to focus on getting a good night's sleep. eating a good breakfast and not puking during the exam! aaaaahhhhhhh!!!!

Can anyone give me study tips to boost my score to 75? 🙂 I plan to take AUD again in November so I will probably begin studying this time next month. I currently have Yaeger lectures, Wiley book/testbank, and NINJA notes.

I am taking audit tomorrow as well. How does anyone prepare for the simulations? I haven't spent a great deal of time focusing on the sims. Instead I have just been hitting the MCQs hard in becker. I took the first Becker final exam yesterday and averaged a 82% on the MCQ and an 80% on the simulations. I hope this is a good sign because I did worse on the FAR Becker final exam and ended up with a 90 on the actual exam. I also scored a 92 on a 100 question progress exam and I have been scoring in the 70s to 80s on the cpareviewforfree questions. I don't feel like I am an expert in audit, but it seems like a lot of the multiple choice questions are similar and they have keywords for particular subjects that can help you pick the correct answer. The first part of my morning was spent memorizing an unqualified audit report and the remainder will be reviewing the text.

Well, I fell like you have been spying on me! I have been:

Getting 70 to 80's on CPA review for free

Scored a 83% on practice exam

Memorizing audit report this am!

Hopefully good signs for both of us. But sims have me anxious. For FAR I used the MC to get the concepts down, plus it is my strong area, so I did not worry about sims. However, the sims I did do we're nothing like the ones on the exam.

How do I see a breakdown of my score? I have taken Audit twice 64 & 71. I will like to see what areas I need to focus on. I thought I gave it all my best the second time but seeing my result today made me cold and thought I have not done enough.

Can anyone tell me how to obtain a breakdown of my score?

Just found out about my audit exam score. I am so angry right now. I failed for the second time :(((

I have been preparing for the audit exam using Becker for the first time and the second time. I think I should use another materials to do additional practice. Could someone help me, plzzzzz? What materials are good for the audit part?
