@dhruv999: Will do. I have to admit I felt better going into BEC and FAR, seems like I'm stuck on the same level with Audit for a while now. Let's hope it will be enough!

Ok, just came back from exam. Don't think I did too well on the first MC testlet, as the 2nd one certainly wasn't harder, if anything a little easier. Felt better on the 2nd testlet and 3rd testlet may have been a little harder. Nowhere near as comfortable as with the FAR and BEC MCs. SIMs I think went ok. Research questions were easy and the other ones I think were ok, but hard to tell. Finished the MCs in 70 minutes and then took almost 2 hours on the SIMs.

Overall, I think this will be close. I knew I passed FAR and BEC when I left the test center but this one will be tight.

I failed AUD again… (65, 67, 69,71 and this time 72)

Used Becker, Wiley online and Roger cram.

I don't know what to do anymore.

There are many smart people in this forum. Obviously I am not the one of them..

The score was

Understand engagement – strong

Entity- weak

Procedure & Evidence – weak

Evaluation & Reporting – strong

Acct & Review service – strong

Professional responsibility – compatible

Multiple Q – Compatible

Simulation – weak (last two times were compatible)

I would appreciate any advise.

Don't Give Up! You're only 3 points away from passing – that might only be 1 question!

Don't put yourself down either; passing the exam does not make you smart, so not passing the exam cannot make you “not smart”.

You're right about the studying the sections where you are weak. Use the Becker book's introduction pages to figure out which chapters cover those concepts and put your energies into reviewing those sections only. I think that the Becker Comprehensive Progress Tests in the Review Before Exam section of the program are the best thing since sliced bread.

Take a 90-MCQ Comprehensive Progress Test each day until your rematch with AUD. Don't just accept the score that comes back, go into each problem and read the responses. Did you get the question right for the right reason? Good, don't review that material anymore. If you got the question wrong, does the response for why you got it wrong make sense to you? If yes, take another progress test to re-inforce your understanding. If no, then review that section in the Becker Homework (redo those sections MCQ's).

If you understand the concepts in the MCQ's enough to score passing percentages, then you can apply that same logic and thought process to the SIMS.

and I'm using Yaeger/CPA excel

I did all the questions in the Wiley's book and all the MCQs in Wiley's test bank for audit. I'm have no idea on what to do anymore.

I'm struggling with studying for audit. It's all memorization yet I'm having trouble committing everything to memory. I have no probably remembering the actual mnemonics, but I can't remember what the individual elements of the mnemonics are. With all of the other tests, I had no trouble memorizing things because I always had a logical point of reference with the material of the other other tests. I can't seem to do that with audit. It doesn't necessarily help that I only have 9 days to study for test, but I'll get through it. Anyone have any tips?

AUD 72 is not bad, you can improve 10-15 points in 2-3 weeks.

read questions to the end, look for double negatives, if some words are popping out from the answers, go back and read the question again, and again.

do all Becker MCQ's 1 time again but don't look at answers until you have eliminated at least 2 wrong answers.

SIM's: I got them from cpareviewforfree.com for $ 10 , for me that alone added at least 10 points to my final score.
