Well, I have my exam scheduled for this Thursday. Got a 78 on a practice exam today, which is up from the 72 I got about a week ago. My weak areas are Accounting and Review Services and Audit Sampling (but some of those questions are easy to get once I reviewed the material).

Any last minute tips from experienced AUD takers? I'm not sure if I should just keep running through multiple choice or try to throw some more studying in there over the next couple days as well.

I've been studying with Yaeger and reviewing with Wiley, which by the way did some updates today and you can now download software to use to take tests offline. Kinda cool!

What information do you feel is the hardest to grasp in reference to the Auditing section?

Taking Audit on August 4. What do you guys think is the worst subject to study? Clear winner for me is Becker chapter 4, Audit Evidence and Audit Procedures by Transaction Cycle.

Is a restriction required for reports whenever the auditors report's purpose is to comply with a regulatory agency? I know the general rule is that reports will be restricted that are in compliance with a contract but I was wondering what the treatment was in regards to compliance with regulatory agencies….

Any report prepared for specified user must be Restricted… So as per your question the report is said to be prepared for Regulatory Agency- Ans. is Yes its Restricted

I'm taking AUD for the second time tomorrow afternoon. I'm so nervous. I thought I did well enough on the first one and then bombed it. I think I am doing better on this one but I don't know. I'm also using a year old Becker book to study from. Does anyone think that it has changed a lot since then?

So I am taking AUD on 8/25. I haven't really started studying because I just finished FAR yesterday. I guess I am wondering how I should structure your studying with less than a month to go. I have Becker so will be listening to the lecture, doing the he, doing the SIMS, doing the progress tests. Is there anything else I should be doing. I wanted to do 2 chapters and leave time for review. How many hours should I have put in by the end of my studying/review. Any help would be appreciated because after giving myself one day to relax after FAR, tomorrow I start again for AUD.

@Mahina I am also using a year old Becker Material for AUD (2011), how did you feel you did?, Anyone know if that would be a problem?

I studied with 2011 material and did not find anything in the exam that wasn't covered in the material.

Hey everyone –

I'm a little confused in regards to Reviews for Non-issuers vs Reviews for Issuers.

It honestly seems to be the same procedures except that Reviews for non-issuers are conducted in accordance with SSARS and for Issuers it's conducted in accordance with SASs or PCAOB. If there are any major differences I'm missing, can you please identify them or If there are so many to write down can you please tell me if I'm completely misinterpreting the information? Also are reviews for issuers only allowed for interim F/S (that's how i seem to understand it)?

Thanks in advance for your help. Hopefully my questions are insightful and not stupid.
